Looks like Doha now has it's very own tour bus. And I am guessing that you can Hop ON and Hop OFF as indicated by the signage on the bus. Looks fab doesn't it.
So it would seem that Qatar is becoming more tourist orientated. I am looking forward to Hopping ON this myself.
Well apparently there is free stuff involved, but slightly different to the rumors you have heard Brit my old friend. I am actually looking forward to this with my photographic passion in mind.
Aaah.. So the rumours about each passenger being given a free bottle of Bollinger Les Vieilles and a paid stop over at Rizks papdom and Paani Poori Emporium are tru :O)
Having spoken to someone with inside knowledge. I now believe the price to be reasonable. For some unknown reason they want to keep their stuff secret at the moment. But as soon as the service rolls out your roving reporter TB will be there to bring you up to date ;)
UK: A couple of years ago, I loved every second of it. There's so much history in London and I was fascinated by the sights and there was so much I didn't know about London although I grew up there...
I've done the river boat a couple of times too, and the London Eye :-)
snessy when is the last time you rode a hop on hop off bus in London. I went on it last year. I got off at Pudding Lane to inspect where the great fire of London started! There are a lot of facts one can get on while riding these buses. You can also use your ticket to ride on the River Boat..:)
I think Doha as a growing small beautiful country with good things to offer to the tourist...so I m suggesting nice things as per my mind...booze ye vo or vo u suggesting where Ur crapy mind goes....OK?
Your pardon smoke, as one frequents those gentleman's club every time one goes home. The famous one being String Fellows and Spearmint Rhino..:) Actually I did not know anything about them until that old Bugger Britexpat told me about them.:) He is a very popular patron of these clubs..:)
The brownies can only be bought in mushroom cafe's..:)
Surprisingly whatever I am suggesting on QL somebody is reading and implementing them....Yuhuuuuuuuuu! I will take the credit of suggesting this since last year on QL and it is here... :) Yipeeeeeeee!
Is the top part open? I think it's designed for people who are still not immune to the smell of the freakin' armpits inside the buses. LOL
Why not build alot of exercise machines that the public can use freely as a tactic to entice people to be fit and healthy? As you can see alot of people are becoming like Sumo Wrestlers o wait another round of burgers please!
Qatar's winter months are brimming with unmissable experiences, from the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to the World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 and a variety of outdoor adventures and cultural delights.
Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for a sweet escape into the world of budget-friendly Mango Sticky Rice that's sure to satisfy both your cravings and your budget!
Celebrate World Vegan Day with our list of vegan food outlets offering an array of delectable options, spanning from colorful salads to savory shawarma and indulgent desserts.
Will there be family day applicable for this bus ride too...I mean no bachelors on Fridays and only legal and illegal couples...:((

That is ridiculously overpriced, I think the ones in London are cheaper than that and there's loads to see around London unlike Doha.
awsam one
OMG......heeee heeee for baking n frying urself..... But very hot n humid weather is approaching Doha.....These buses will end up in shelters or what?
Yeh,, Hop-On & Hop-off with frustration coz of traffic as probably tourists could walk faster than the pace of the bus.
bad timing...should hav done while it was winter.
It sound like a city tour traffic jam.
It will be amazing in july

Ouch!! QAR 182 is a lot of dosh for a bus ride. I thought it was going to be a cheap Hop ON Hop Off tour bus.
Thanks for getting the information PrinceOfQatarLiving.Com I missed that when it came out in GT.
I'm not convinced tourists are going to fork out that much, but hey what do I know?
I will still take a ride just to find out what it's all about though.
Its for tourist, They have to rent a car etc... this is good for them and the Country..

Where did you get the QR 50 from PrinceOfQatarLiving.Com?
Where does it say it's QR 50? I thought it was Hop ON Hop OFF?
In 50 Qrs worth petrol one can make round around whole whole Qatar......in own car...
Blank stare :| at Meah
"Again, awesome web site!"
What on Earth are you talking about?
I think Doha as a growing small beautiful country with good things to offer to the tourist...so I m suggesting nice things as per my mind...booze ye vo or vo u suggesting where Ur crapy mind goes....OK?

Qar 50.. For a ride..
I have already bought a ticket and some sunscreen for TB. He says he's got the knotted kandkerchief at the ready.
Can't wait to drive past Villagio, CC and the new Ezdan Mall. I hear that the ticket provides a free snack for Timmies :O)

Yes sunset booze cruise to Banana island will be a big hit..:)
A booze cruise, or party bus! That sounds more fun!

Sincerely can you also suggest strip clubs and cheap booze? Thank you.

And industrial area.
MIA,Dhow Deck, Sheraton Park = Corniche road
Katara = passing through corniche road
Souq waqif = before corniche road
So basically everything revolves around "corniche road" :P
MIA, Souq Waqif, Dhow Deck, Corniche, Sheraton Park, Katara....
enough for a day excursion
So where do they plan to take the tourists...corniche road...and then what? Thats all that there is to see in Qatar on a tour bus :P
Why Open top is not good for Doha...
1. Intense heat above 45C
2. Almost Constant Sandstorm..
People need proper bus route not some circus bus...
I really cant imagine who will travel in that... not me... I will prefer to travel in my car... for any touristic tour in Qatar...
teach them to take a bath daily. lol
open top not a good idea in snow also, So I guess they just have to put the hoody on ..:)
Open rooftop? Not a good idea during summer!
whine and whine and moan and complain..............
it was like before, why Doha has not a bus like Dubai/Malayasia/Oman ??
Saw it on Corniche on Thursday noon. Looks good.
Is the top part open? I think it's designed for people who are still not immune to the smell of the freakin' armpits inside the buses. LOL

ROFL
True Ben, unless they start putting in some Bus lanes!
Well that'll be fun sat on the top deck burning away while the bus is sat in traffic.
Another copy stuff from dubai
build more basketball and volleyball courts, football fields, skate/bmx parks, badminton courts, children parks. I know Qatar can afford this.
Yes saw it parked along Al Wabb street over the weekend!
The design is Fabulous..:)
Yes definitely will give it a go!
Haven't you heard TB? All the girlies say you're pretty fly for a white guy :-P
I desperately need the colour Sness, think I will go for factor 10.
I'd recommend factor 50 if you're going to sit on the top deck TB :-)
