Now planes running into buildings
The wing of a Boeing 747-400 aircraft operated by BA apparently struck a building while taxiing at Oliver R. Tambo International Airport near Johannesburg, causing damage to both the building and the airplane.
The aircraft was to depart from Johannesburg on its way to London when the wing appeared to “slice” through a section of the top floor of what appears to be a brick building.
They kept us on board for over an hour after the collision and the message we were getting most was to turn our electronics off. This is because the captain and crew knew everyone was taking photos and posting to social media from their seats.
“The question all passengers are asking was it pilots fault or air traffic controllers fault or a mixture of both? The damage is extensive.
“I will say we were travelling quite fast when we collided with the building. In my opinion not the standard taxi speed. We hit the brakes hard, glad I was wearing my seat belt!
The control tower “told them to take one taxiway and they took another one. They took a wrong one,” said Gwebu.
“BA plane crashes into building at J Burg airport. No one injured only the pilot’s pride,” she posted, complaining that first-class passengers were evacuated before the rest.
The first class passengers left the aircraft first because the door used is closest to first class. Duh!
good old JUNK
Goj, Why do you want to drag your own country in the forum , this shows your hatredness for Air India.
...and I thought such things happened only at Air India but now we know there are a lot of other worse airlines out there who get away with more crazy things
Galind , it is foolish on your part when you compare water with wine / drinks.
Haha! Planes should just have water hehe.
Some people are such idiots! What next? Maybe we can blame women wearing short skirts!
Correct Galinda , That way we can reduce damage to the planes & buildings and more importantly the health of the passengers ....

Lol molten. Are you trying to make fun of those morons who complain about a few bottles of wine on planes?
There's more coke on board than alcohol, so maybe we should alert the captain about soft drinks.
palne = plane ....
in my comment at Mon, 23.12.2013, 12.42 hrs ....
More liquids on board can sway the palne to one side ... pilot will be surprised ... if not told to take extra care .... in advance by the ground technical staff ....
Mon, 23.12.2013, 12.42 hrs ....
britey, you blind owl !
read the last paragraph.
No need to mention the presence of alcohol on the plane ....
Mon, 23.12.2013, 12.36 hrs ....
the article does not mention anything about first class passengers being evacuated first :O(
"first-class passengers were evacuated before the rest "... Why the first class passenger first ? the other class passengers are Animals ? :(
the pilot is blind...sack him
Lost in translation, Airport Control Tower send the Pilot on the wrong Taxi way!
Mistakes do happen. What a set of moaning passengers.
Pilot's pride & building can be repaired ......
