No Outgoing Call/No SMS...HELLO QTEL?!!???

Got myself a 30riyals PREPAID HALA CARD before going home

3:10PM - I was in a middle of a phone conversation when I got disconnected. Tried to call again but got a "busy tone" and got disconnected again.

4:30PM - tried to call out KFC from my mobile phone...still got the same "busy tone"

5:47PM - I tried to make some more calls but still "busy tone"...

I couldn't even send text message. Tried calling 111 from my mobile phone...SAME RESULT.

Tried it from a landline...after making me wait for that Customer service agent...it went busy. Tried again...busy.

COME ON...shouldn't be QTEL improving its services now that they have a competitor???

and I didn't have a problem before until just recently. That's why my question: why don't they improve their services now that they have a competitor.

Yes, I WAS UPSET.. but that was yesterday....and today just ended as nighttime comes...

That's why I said...stick around...hehehehe

You surely are upset about everything with QTel :). As I said I have only just started using their service so don’t know how good or bad they really are, just wrote what I feel one should be doing in case of a problem. Maybe I will be venting out about them too in coming days :)

qtel and voda both sucks :( u will allways get busy tone if busy tone comes u allways have to restat ur phone on put on offline and then online to have it to work thay will improve soon (just a hope) i m really sad on both..

To go to said QTEL office, one has to:

1. drive thru streets congested with traffic

2. look for a parking space(whether it's City Centre, national Road)which is in my case, the nearest is LULU hyper.

3. At Lulu Hyper-QTEL office, you have to wait for the queue(sp) that would take you 2 hours for a 5 minutes conversation with the QTEL person.

then what is 111 for?

I didn't say about what you know about "how the world works"...nor did I say "you agree with whatever I say" coz I'm just a regular Ql member, just like anybody else in this site.

if i would re-phrase myself...QL is where people could sya what's on their mind, discuss about it (or even VENT) about things that frustrates/infuriates them...like what I did.

Please, don't let my existence in QL bother you from staying on or away from the site...

Azilana I did read the opening post, that's why didn't suggest calling customer care and suggested you visit their office. If being on this site means agreeing with everything you say then I am better off without it.

I may be new to this site but I am not new to this world. I know a thing or two about how this world works.

if there would be service interruptions as they said there would be, do it at the TIME they said it would be. CONSISTENCY is the word.

No wonder some are going for the other brand...

those free SMS and international call minutes were only good til oct 31, that is why you lost it... you should have received their SMS informing you of the end of promo. I did that's why i consumed it before the 31st...

yes, me too, im having problems with my Qtel line... there are times i cant receive text messages and when you call my number it cannot be reached even if its open... sad thing is, i thought its a sim problem so i replaced it with a new one (50qr), sadly the next day i encountered the same problem :(

Umm... the lost free international minutes and SMSsssss is due to the fact that the promotion ends this month. Remember guys? It was from a Ramadan promotion, Qtel also sent messages to everyone saying that their free minutes and SMSsssss will expire after October.

I don't know but shouldn't people be going to a Q-Tel office rather than complaining about it on a public forum. I haven't had any problem with them but then I have been using it for just a few days.

I tried calling my family back home. First 2 calls was busy tone and luckily got connected on my 3rd call.

There must be something wrong with QTel connection today.

It would have been NICE if QTEL sends out SMS informing their customers.

And upgrading the system means the FREE INTERNATIONAL MINUTES or SMS are deleted/gone/erased as well???

I always call my kids after work and talk to my parents especially my MOM....

even removed the SIM and checked if something was amiss. I checked the applications if something was changed...NOTHING.

GRRRR...I didn't have a good day today at work and QTEL messing up unabling me to make calls even to the Philippines...totally LOW!!!!

azi, don't worry it's not just you.. most times, I experience difficulty sending SMS.. this afternoon, i was trying to send an sms to a local number but it keeps saying, message sending failed.. after a few more tries, i just gave up..
