dont know if this is the right place to ask this but

have bought a nissan patrol with the 4.2 carburettor engine.
looking to replace with the 4,8.

anybody know where to start looking for one?

been at the scrapyard in mesaieed but there wasnt anybody there to let me in.

He rebuilds Nissan Patrols so pretty much knows the car inside out.

You can ask him about the upgrade or where to find the engine.

His number is 5860199.Better to go speak to him in person.

I think the name of the garage is Haloul - or something similar.

He fixed my VTC cooling problem for 500QR instead of the 3500QR Nissan was asking for - seems the dealer doesn't bother doing a proper diagnostic they simply replace the whole cooling system and charge the customer for it - makes more sense for them I suppose but not for those who have to watch their bank balance ....

The engine number in my registration is "O".

when u change the engine..guess u would have to infrom traffic dept as the vechicle registration card bears the engine number which is checked while renewing the road permit

Speak to my man Francis. - he can even do the job for you! He fixes my Patrol and often offers to replace non-essential parts with second hand ones.

His number is 521 6847 and his garage is opposite Doha Club near Library roundabout.
