ask the mods ,and use contact .yes it is repetitive and if you.

mods has access to THE WHOLE QL including all the groups nad that is one of their priveleges.

so the mods are breaking the guideline/rules here by posting in groups which the are not a member. then report the mods to the mods and we'll see.

BTW, tatess, regarding the car transfer in the other thread, QI made the best post. No need to transfer the insurance. He mentioned everything you need to prepare. It will just cost you 10 riyals for the form and the actual fee for transfer of registration. Go there after luch and few people are inside.

I am an old/pioneer FE member, I unsubscribed to the group, coz I dont like the management for personal reasons. I subscribed again cause the management had been replaced. And I am active now in the gatherings coz I moved on and get a life.

I've been away from QL/Fil-Expat for a long time...I can't keep up with the changes..if there are, really?

and BTW...

FIL-EXPAT is VERY DIFFERENT from QLSG.

Filexpat is a Filipino Group in QL and if there are other nationalities who are members, it's because of their affinity to the members, by marriage, relationship or friendship. BASICALLY, it's all-FILIPINO, one country.

QLSG on the other hand is the SOCIAL GROUP wherein different nationalities currently residing in QATAR agreed to gather to socialize, network and have fun. And DARUDE needs to be strict on the membership coz we had wackoes in our midst.

but the latest unilateral move in the forum was really a bad move. So the call for another group was echoed.

But your points are taken. Actually it weighs a lot even the other Filex members posts. But be objective in dealing with proposals. It is bound for approval or disapproval but reasons for disapproval should be given.

If newbies can be accommodated as fast as the main forum can do it, why not in that group? The group admins can delete or unsubscribe anyone it deemed to be unworthy of the group!

I think (my opinion only), the group is following the line of thinking of QLSG wherein membership is upon discretion by the QLSG admin! That's fine with QLSG because you can still post English in the main forum which have so many sections. But in the Filex group, it's the only group where you can post in the vernacular. The old rule that non-member can post is already okay, why the member only rule now?

I remember when FIL-EXPAT was about 6 months old or older (but less than a year), some members broke away and created a filipino group in a new website. They even invited me to be a member...I said, sure :)

But all I could read from that group posts are against the Fil-Expat group. There is one person who unsubscribed from the group, went there and I don't know what happened coz next thing I know, she is "a member" of fil-expat" AGAIN and very active in the gatherings. Those members in THAT GROUP all came back to QL/Fil-Expat..some with the same userID, some created a new nick.

Sorry for reminiscing...but I'm getting tired of reading the same issue OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN...so, my point is...if they won't let you, go elsewhere where you can do/get your heart's desires...SIMPLE!!!

And propose an admin who will allow members to unsubscribe if they get nuts with some members and subscribe again after they’ve realized that what they did is obstinacy. Then if the moderator will not allow this previous member to be a member again, then the 3rd filex group will be proposed again…and again…and again…so on…and…so…
