I am not sure if it is a rumor again or not, and that is why I am asking if anyone else other than me heard about some news telling that Qatar started again considering citizenship applications for one specific nationality.
"In 2005, a new nationality law came into being, allowing for non-citizen residents who have resided in the country for twenty-five consecutive years to apply for citizenship. However, a maximum of just fifty residents are granted citizenship annually, and there is no such thing as a 'right' to citizenship, even if a non-citizen was born and raised in Qatar. By 2008, only a very small number of applicants had been accepted." here is the link ---> http://www.fanack.com/countries/qatar/population/ethnic-and-religious-composition/nationality-laws.html

moza, are you saying that Qatar has a plan for the future?
For Qatar to have a sustainable future they need more citizens that have a stake in the economy and country.
I wish It can be true one day as we lived our whole life here..........*'*
Rumours are just Rumours should never believe them.
need to listen to rumors? And if you will continue to withhold info, just stay quiet, don't repeat it.
Mandi, that is when they dress you in a thobe and you have to say what to do yani, inshalla to immigration to naturalize you....
Naturalization?
Mandi

Maybe they should start with the Palestinians here. They are Arab brothers, Muslim and have a similar culture. Plus they have no where to go
to USA nationals? :)
And what is that specific nationality??
but won't tell it at the moment:)
Hahahahhahahahahahahahahaha, why would they want to share their gold pile with anyone?
I am asking if someone lately heard of considering applications of specific nationality. In the last couple of days only and not years back.
Thanks anyways for the info:)
