Needy Migrant workers support for Qatar

I wish you all the best and happy new year 2009 ,begging of new year we have great change to be in one place to help Needy Migrant workers in Doha-Qatar.
Sanaiya ( Industrial area ) , four different names company but Managed by one local construction company's 280 labors are struggling since 2 year. October and November month company send back around 50 worker. Approximately 60 worker already left company and working as a casual job and became illegal by forced , still there are 170 worker seeking help . They just want to go back their country. 5 Bangladeshi and rest all of them are Nepalese.2007 during Ramadan and Eid time the company totally stopped to supply food, water and electricity. Unfortunately all of the government authorities were having Eid holiday by the time. Now we can just imagine how did they survive.

Mitery Club and other social community members supplied water, food stuffs and medical care at that time. After opened government authority they went to complain and company agreed to follow the labor law but till time company ignore all the promises Now again they are facing lots of problems. They complained to concern authority but we have to see either they will get justice or not ? They are really seeking help. What you call for this situation? human trafficking ? Forced worker ? Stranded worker ? Abandoned worker ? I think Local Qatari sponsor don't know about the situation cause all of the workers don't know who is the sponsor and his name.26/10/2007 they went to complain National Human Right Committee but they refused to receive complain letter. Their simple requirement is to be safe land in their country, to receive dues salary and ticket. What will happen if company denies to give them dues salary and return ticket? It seems they are forced to be illegal in Qatar.

Problems
1. They don't have resident permit since 24 month.
2. They have not enough drinking water. no water for Toilet and kitchen
3. They don't have food . Company totally stopped and no money with them to buy food.
4. They are not paid since last 9month
5. They don't have work since last 5 month.
6. They are not getting medical treatment.
7. They don't have insurance and health card.

What we can do for them ?
• We can donate food items ( Rice, lentil, potatoes, dry onion ,salt ,sugar, spices, Garlic, Ginger, Noodles, breads )
• We can contribute small amount of money for Tickets , drinking water, Transportation and hala card
• We can donate toiletry items (soap, shampoo , detergents, tooth pest/brush, Towels

I hope in the beginning of new years 2009 in this humanitarian aids for Migrants workers in Qatar we need to get involved and we have to contribute what ever we can afford .

If you required more information about other such kind of case study and contribute please send mail to: [email protected]

I totally agree. People should help others because one day - you might need help yourself and no one will.

Name and shame the company involved. If it's one of my (or our) contractors I'd like to know so maybe we can help from the inside.

Did you Google it first?

Please send me your contact details via private message. Also if you send me the companies name and details so We can send someone to inspect the place and gather all the information necessary.

This is a shame and We will try our best to sort things out for them as much as We could.

he and his volunteer group might be able to help out...

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked, the good fortune to run into the ones I do,and the eyesight to tell the difference.
