Hi,

I have recently moved to Qatar and doing Job. My current monthly salary is QRS 9,300. Can anyone advise me whether it's a good salary or not?
Moreover, I am looking for a 1 bed room appartment with a hall and attached washroom and kitchen. kindly advise what are the rates of these type of appartments. Secondly, I also want to take a car on rental basis (Cheaper one). Can anyone please advise me whether I can get this type of an appartment or not as I plan to get my wife on board with me considering the fact that she is pregnant.

Kindly advise

Hello dear friend,

Regarding the salary is not bad and about getting 1 bed + hall to my knowlede it's around 3000 Qr,

But if you plan to bring your family it would be better you come first then when you arrange flats and could get a used car depend on your budget then bring your family,

Good Luck

Thats a pretty good salary.but the minimum salary to sponsor your family is raised to qar 10000 recently.House rent varies from how and what you expect..but you may get it if u try.Medical expenses in private hospitals are very expensive if your company gives you medical expenses well and good otherwise thats an area where an expat suffers. There are lots of car rental facilities here.

yes, its a good salary but you did not mention your job.anyway its bit hard to get one bed room apartment for less than 5000/= but try you may get one out of the city area. go ahead later even for a car to buy, than renting.as per my knowledge normal car will be around 1,800/= p.m. if you go for cheap rates you will have to face engine troubles on the road and repair always.

1 bedroom apartments are in the range of QAR 4000-5000, if you're lucky you may get something for QAR 3000.

You should buy a car rather than rent one, buying is more affordable now with the monthly payments as low as QAR 1200.

GOOD LUCK!
