It was nice, shops near by as was the tube station. You may want to give this one a try.
Take Dohabrit's advice.. The hotels will be much cheaper. just remember that London centre is quite small and you could be in Chelsea and still get there easily..
thanks alot for the big help..how i wish i can go with them during their london trip..but three is a crowd..and my presence is not good for honeymooners..lol..i'm sure my sister will appreaciate all ur tips and pieces of advice.. ;)
Ok...the London Eye is basically at Waterloo Station, so hit booking.com for the local postcode which is SE1. Then you can choose the best price etc for yourself. That area is really nice right now and a lot has been done around the South Bank. Walk over Waterloo Bridge and you're on the Strand...staying there, as long as the weather is good and you won't need to use the tube! Take the opportunity to walk, and here's a local tip....LOOK UP...everyone in London has tunnel vision, but look up and check out the buildings...stunning. If you time it well...sunset on the london eye is perfect then grab some food on the south bank. Have fun!!
I agree with MBK, you're better off staying away from there. The tube is great for getting around London so it's not too much trouble. I've been on the London Eye about 5 times, and would recommend going on it at night.
jack9999, thanks alot..
If it was me I would search on gumtree, if my budget is limited.

or try http://www.ibishotel.com or www.accorhotels.com
Not a good idea to stay close to the London Eye as the Hotels are gonna be high priced.
Travelling in London is not a problem. Also depends on their budget how much they wanna spend, then I can advise you which area to look at. You can PM me for more details..
darude,it's much better to ask from someone who've been there before..tired of searching the net..
