Mozaic Tv...Triple Play Function...Is it a dream
Wel.... When we read about this Mozaic TV service..which inlcudes IPTV, WiFi internet facilities and a Tel. Line for only QR250. I mean i was lik WOw............
But reality is harsh. I applied for it on 27 dec to qtel...but it turns out ppl applied to it much before that and till now no ones got it. Qtel ppl say its a techincal problem..They say its a minor one...If it is so then why isnt it repaired. Its has been 2 months....i think... since they launched it and still no one has it. Really ..just for this package ...i have had..no TV and no internet in my house for 2 Months!!!!!!!!!!
IPTV is completly different...which means TV over interntet protocol...ie streaming tv...where the quality is like what you would get from youTube....and sometimes freezing in between.
Q-Tel is not offering IPTV it is offering all three combined over a ADSL line....which is different.
I was considering applying for Mozaic TV package as my nilesat signal has been blocked by a building that has come up in front of mine. Should I not go for it as everyone seems to be having problems with it. Does anyone have this package? Would help if you can tell me the channels you get on it.
Even if you do manage to get it, the max internet speed offered is a whopping 512kbps. I have the 1Mbps right now and I'm lucky to get 512, I would hate to see the actual speed of the 512 connection.
Yeah the service is being introduced & priced yet the technology is not yet tested.
They went a little overboard for the Asian Games.
It will be indtroduced maybe same time next year...!!!
I would nt be surprised if they could only give 20 channels instead of the 120 claimed.

does anyone know where I can find a listing of the channels in the various packages that come with this offer? I really need a few specific channels and I have gone everywhere but have failed to find a brochure or anything that explain the various channels in each package. If they are charging me 20-30 riyals for a package, then I'd like to know what I am signing up for.
Please help.
Just be patient dear friend. you will soon be bowled over my IPTV(cable tv with 120 plus channels, inet, landline).
