Motorcycle License Qatar to UK
By timebandit •
If I get a motorcycle licence here in Qatar, will I be able to convert it and add it onto a UK driving licence when I go home?
No I am not looking to turn into a hells angel. This is for my son, who is curious to know if it would be quicker and cheaper to achieve a motorcycle licence over here than it is back home.
Thank you all for your assistance :D
Hi,
Most European contries have some system for transferring a foreign licence into their own.
Danish citizens for instance can take it abroad and then when comming home, they can take a test, but do not have to take the expensive and extensive training first. So it saves money and hazzle.
Here is a link, which will surely lead you onto the answer. If you follow the interactive tool, it seems that you have to take a test after 12 months of driving in UK since Qatar is not on the list of countries which are directly transferable.
