The most spied upon Europeans
Pity the citizens of the following countries who shout for freedom and independence for the citizens of the rest of the world and are the most spied upon among the Europeans:
1. Germany
2. U.K
3. France
4. Italy
5. Greece
6. Denmark.
It smacks of hypocrisy when these countries call on others to be more transparent and to provide free environment from govt intrusion whereas they themselves spy upon their citizens.

Stealth, can you also answer, what has trancparency got to do with being spied on? If the government is telling us we are being spied upon, surely they are being transparent?

"Alexa Europe has suffered most not from the so called people allowed to come in and stay in Europe but by Europeans themselves. Millions were killed not by the migrants. Remember your history when you compare to latter day events."
What has the history of past wars got to do with the personal safety of individuals today through the use of CCTV and monitoring for public threats?
"Then what privacy do you have?"
The original post quoted "freedom and independence", now you want to divert to "privacy". If you cannot substantiate your original post, do you want to correct it or divert attention from it?
Stealth if you saw Manchester on a Friday night you would be happy for CCTV cameras.
We do not have id cards. This 'spying' actually helps the law abiding citizen live more peacefully.
There is a big difference between advocating non - corrupt governments and how far a state should go to protect citizens.
The 'nanny' state is a very contraversial topic in UK
And Alexa where I come from we don't need to import nutters we breed enough of our own!
Then what privacy do you have?
Alexa Europe has suffered most not from the so called people allowed to come in and stay in Europe but by Europeans themselves. Millions were killed not by the migrants. Remember your history when you compare to latter day events.
to go about our daily lives, freedon to vote for who we want to, freedom of speech (within reason).
You only mentioned European countries but other countries in the world have far less freedom that the countries you have mentioned.
As Alexa mentioned it has become a matter of necessity and as I said before, if you have nothing to hide what is the problem with it.
Stealth, can you also answer, what has trancparency got to do with being spied on? If the government is telling us we are being spied upon, surely they are being transparent?

if thats the case what sort of privacy do you have? When all your calls are eavesdropped, your movements are recorded, then where is your freedom?
what has trancparency got to do with being spied on?
I'm from the UK but also been to all the countries mentioned except Greece and cannot see a problem with it. And if as you say the government is spying on us, so what, if it keeps us safe. If you've nothing to hide, whats the problem?

Stealth It would be interesting if you could explain to me the differences in freedom, comparing these European Countries you list with the Countries you Claim they call on to be more transparent. I think you will be sadly dissapointed and your theory will be busted.
What is your personal experience from these Countries ?
I've been to all of them and I got a totally different Experience than you.
Honestly most Countries spy on their Citizens, the Differences between The mentioned European Countries and other Non-European Countries is that such information is open for public, while other Countries keep it hidden. Am I wrong ?
