The Moment of Truth

I got hook with the tv program "The Moment of Truth" in MBC4 for quite sometime now. The show put the participants in a lie-detector test prior to the televised game to reveal whether or not they are telling the truth for a chance to win half a million dollars.

For you guys who have watched the show, would you participate in the show to win at least US$10,000 that could go up to half a million dollars in exchange of revealing your deepest and darkest secrets to million of viewers around the world?

I wont. How about you?

if a lie detector tester could determine of what you have to do in your forthcoming plans... then ill believe... relationship is not merely telling all about truths your heart had said... it is in your mind to conceive your plans as well..

I wouldnt do it.. Usually a thing is a secret bcz if known it hurts someone u love, someone close to u.. or else it wouldnt have been a secret in the first place..

Somethings should just stay unspoken.. many have divorced bcz of the show.. many have lost the respect of family and friends.. these are things that money cannot buy..

U lose all the important ppl and u have half a million $.. when its gone.. u have nothing.. so its not worth it really

I'm shocked and stunned.. You watching a program like that.. Next , you'll be telling me that you are partial to Jerry Springer and the nice, normal cross section of humanity who appear on that :))

there are are things you dont realize you feel or think and when a question relates to that, even if you are guilty only a bit slightly, you have no other choice but to say "yes" else if you say "no" you might lose the chance to go on with the game if the lie detector find you lying... and there's no way out coz admitting and denying may result to the same thing i.e. getting caught...

absolutely lie. How would a contestant win if her/his answer was yes and the detector say no or false. If you feel you have that feeling of truthfulness then all of a sudden it turns out that you lie, how could you win? and sometimes my hubby and i ask the same question.

britexpat not always, there was a sweet man, a chef I think who was once on. He had been completely faithful to his wife etc etc, but I admit its the exception rather than the rule.

I would never go on the show though, some of the things you dont even realise you think/feel but they seem to come up on those damn lie detectors.

community.. Its reality TV at its Grossest..

They only bring on people who have committed adultery , taken drugs, had alcholhol or gambling problems...

It livens up the show and excites the audience...

Not my cup of tea,,,

sorry..i find it stupid! lie detectors are not all the time accurate.

its money vs your relationship with your loved ones. yeah you have nothing to hide but your answers might break relationships...

I would, I have nothing to hide. I've seen the show a few times in the US and most of them end up lying about cheating on a spouse or breaking some law. It makes you wonder how many families break up because they went on for a chance to win money. Sad what they will do for "entertainment".
