NATIONAL Car Company launched the new Mazda6 2009 from the “Zoom-Zoom, Evolution” line, at a ceremony at the company’s Mazda showroom yesterday.
The event was attended by chairman of the Nasser bin Abdullah Group of companies, Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser al-Thani, director and president of the National Car Company, Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser al-Thani, Japanese Ambassador Yukio Kitazume, as well as company officials and guests.
Sales manager of National Car Company, Firoz Khan welcomed the guests and highlighted the features of the ‘new generation’ of Mazda cars, which were also shown in a video presentation.
Kitazume proceeded to cut the ribbon to mark the launch of the new Mazda models, and five of the cars were unveiled to guests.
Khan said the cars are readily available, and will cost between QR 80,000 and 95,000, depending on the model.
“The 2009 series follows the successful first generation ‘zoom-zoom’ series launched in 2002 by Mazda, which has been awarded more than 135 prizes in various categories,” Khan said, adding that the main concept of the 2009 model is to offer the driver an emotional, sporty, insightful experience.
