Man Kills Wife

A man murdered his estranged wife after he became “enraged” that she had changed her marital status to single on the social networking site Facebook.
Edward Richardson, 41, was found guilty of stabbing to death Sarah Richardson, 26, a hairdresser, in her parents’ house in Staffordshire on May 12 last year.
Fiona Cortese of the Crown Prosecution Service said: “Richarsdon became enraged when Sarah changed her marital status on Facebook to single and decided to go and see her as she was not responding to his messages.”
Stafford Crown Court heard that Richardson, a carpenter from Biddulph, Stoke-on-Trent, had sought out Mrs Richardson in her parents house and entered by breaking the front door window.
“Once inside he found Sarah in her bedroom and subjected her to a frenzied and brutal attack with a knife and then attempted to take his own life,” said Ms Cortese.
She said: “We hope that today’s guilty verdict will go some way to easing the pain of Sarah’s friends and family after losing her in such a violent and abrupt way.”

man of one sentence...??
Since the very beginning of the post, I was expecting this million dollar comment John Lalay :)
Good to see the growing number of western talibanisation style in its own way.
Ghazalz, what..?? same names are not present in fb? and i was searching for ghazalz and strawberry shisha on facebook, but didn't any of them
I use skype as well for keeping in touch with relatives... it's incredible with camera, when they're online :) ingeniero, It might be a slight change in names cause of your failure :)
skype is also a good source of communication aside from facebook..
shisha and gazhal.. good for you two.. but im using yahoo as my primary means of communication..im not againts fb.. fb brought us to the future.. its just that some abuse it.. some use it to show off, character asasination, it facilitate prositution etc..so i only login to fb to play poker and empire and allies ahihihi..
and i didn't get any profile link from both of you girls... :(
:)) sort of
41 with 26...not a big deal. Yes age doesn't matter...and even facebook doesn't play any role to establish a relationship complicated to married or single or divorced. It's a rare case of its own kind.
ghazalz, i supah agree with you..i think u're also an fb addict like me..lol
Yes ss, for someone like you or someone like me :) It's the easiest source of communication and a good companion specially for a person who is home alone...
for sure i can relate to the topic about facebook, coz my (doha) life will not be complete without my facebook..lol..it's like my stress reliever..my shock absorber..my bestfriend..my modern day diary..too absurd may it seem but that's how i treat my fb..
on a serious note, if you use facebook in a right way, there's still more positive side to it than negative..for someone like me who's away from my family, facebook is the easiest and fastest form of communication between me and my family back home..
FB will if nothing else make people more cautious now.. betraying someone's trust and defaming a person has now been made easier. Not to mention a perfect platform for perverts and other criminals. One can now never be too careful!
Glad to be a mood booster,Alhamdullilah!Take over the world?Yeah as soon as the savage tribes start using them which IMO shouldn't take too long!lol
Guy should be Hanged Mor*n.....Does Age matter, I think "NO" it is the Understanding, Honesty, and Love which Matters the most, but in the Sub-Continent Parent of a Girl would prefer a Man which is Older then Her, and If the Guy is Younger then the Girl that is a "Big No No"...
I have a colleague, Indian, who was engaged to a girl by their parents. They became FB friends and started knowing each other gradually. One day, conservative parents of my colleague saw her profile in the FB in which she had posted her pictures of a picnic with her friends. Seeing her pics in T-shirts and shorts, they decided to break the engagement !!
Now, its difficult to say, if it was good or bad for the girl..??
Abdirahman - Couldnt agree more.. My grannies are very happy with each other despite their age gap. I am happy too with someone older than me.. it's all about having a common ground and adjustment on both sides.
Exactly fathimaH,it affected a lot of lives. I know a woman whose life had been ruined bec.her ex bf posted her "sexy" pictures in fb and it cuased shame to her family as well. It made her stop going to school and she was traumatized. Some people's privacy was invaded, some got stalkers & their lives have never been the same. I use fb,post pictures which i think will not harm me in case it will be hacked but im not like some of the fb users who are addressing their status to their enemies. I have few friends in fb whom i know whether they are happy, what they are up to,if they are mad, etc. bec. they've been very open about their emotions in fb. :)) As what others say facebook is not ur diary.:) lol.
@sun26872 That has nothing to do with age , many people are happy with their marriage even though they have very big difference in their age
I think FB is becoming people's barer of bad news! They are finding out stuff "from the horse's mouth" that they would have otherwise never known.
Problem is some people are taking facebook to heart. I mean, there's more in life outside fb.
May she rest in peace as well as the murdered wife..:(
Same thing happened in india but it was the case of suicide. The girlfriend a student of IIM-Bangalore found her boyfriend has changed the status from COMMITTED to single. So upset she became that she committed suicide.GOD bless her soul
This is what happens when you facebook ur problem rather than face the problem and find a solution..:)
I agree...makes me think "isn't it always?" lol
i laugh everytime i see the status""its complicated""
The real reason is '41' year old fool marrying a '26' year old gold digger......such marriages mostly have a sad ending.
he's 41 and she's 26. obviously she might be looking for someone else...tats why she made her status 'single'.. this is not the first time social networking sites are palying with smone's life...it started long ago with orkut...
if face book important like that , marry people and get them divorced
let face book bring or them food and let facebook bring for them bebes :\
i m not talking of the sister sister relation ;)
Facebook. - Oh hell yeah..:p
Im glad i have changed my status to : In a relationship with myself..:)
Poor wife indeed..but im sure what she did had touched her husband's ego esp. that it is publicly showed. :(
LP my pren kamustaka
LP.. lol.. yeah her status is deceased.. location 6 feet under..
Terrible tragedy. Let this be a warning to all those QLers who use "single" as their status in Doha :O)
Read this sometime back. The guy's a psycho no doubt. And nutters like him don't need much provocation so at least this time no one can blame FB.That said personally I found the FB privacy policy a real sham. Not just that it was mortifying how "friendship requests" were been sent from my account to people on my friends' friends' lists. I'd suddenly get an update that so and so accepted my request...Yikes! I never knew him. The same happend to my husband too. Though he maintains he's account I abandoned mine and don't plan to return again!
:((
and location is 6 feet underneath! poor woman.
Her status is "dead".
And now Facebook is getting worse with its new layout.. unknowngly you will share everything with public.,..secondly.. what happened if she updated her relationship status as single?
omg! that guy must be really enraged..tskk...poor wifey.. :(
is the reason of destroying ppls life.. should be ban.... but i dont know why ppl are so stupid by putting all the things (related to their personal life) on facebook like an open book infront of others... where is privacy...?
