Magnetic Therapy

Magnetic therapy is an age old therapeutic technique that has been observed since the 3rd century AD but the ancient Greeks. In other parts of Asia, this technique is also observed by many. Now, it’s also being offered by various alternative medicine schools. There are also devoted followers of the technique that assure the public that this program is safe, cheap and really works.

So how does magnetic therapy work? In theory; magnetic therapy triggers faster blood flow. This happens when magnet is applied in the specific area of the body. The properties of the magnet trigger the positive and negative particles in our blood to become active and more alive. The blood will flow faster in the area where magnet is applied. Because it flows faster, more oxygen will be applied to the specific area of the body. With more oxygen, the natural healing ability of the person is increased.

This is of course, in theory, but there are actually patients that proved that magnetic therapy has helped them recover from a serious illness. There are some that say, magnets will only trigger the endorphins – a substance released by the body to place the body in an almost tantric state. Because of that, the person will not be experiencing pain as long as the magnet is applied in the body.

Magnetic therapy doesn’t really add this to their set of benefits but if magnets are applied to the part of the body where fats are located, they might be able to trigger faster metabolism. Because of the faster blood flow, the body heat is also increased thereby increasing the power of metabolism. In theory, if the person is eating right and controlling their calorie intake, magnetic therapy will be able to increase your chances of melting the flabby part in our tummies.

On the other hand, there is no scientific evidence to support the claims of the believers of the program. As we have previously indicated, magnetic therapy increases the ability of the body to heal itself. Because it only helps the body heal itself, it doesn’t necessary heal those that are afflicted with conditions. If the persons healing ability is very low, magnetic therapy won’t even be effective to these persons. This explains why magnetic therapy is not really as effective to older people compared to the young ones.

Still there are those that apply this program to their body constantly. Since there are no side effects to this technique, you can safely place the magnets in your body almost permanently. There are bracelets for your wrists and your ankles that you can wear constantly. These bracelets have magnetic properties that will ease the pain of your joints. If the bracelets are used in wrists and ankles, the joints in that part of your body will experience quicker recovery.

Magnetic therapy may only be effective in theory, but thousands of years of existence and the backing of millions of people worldwide makes this technique worth a second look.

You have said it yourself, "There is no scientific evidence to support these claims." Since there's no evidence I guess you don't need to cite your source!
