food and captaincy aside. couponing or policies will do little. look at london for instance. you call those roads. they just big enough for people to walk. They put in those tolls and all. Qatar is a country which is reasonably small and the city is real small. what we need is a scalable solution ( meaning of scalable = future proof) such as increasing lanes (say five or  more on some routes like abudhabi) and create alternative routes to vent the flow of traffic.

I played for about 5 years in which I captained them for 1 year (3rd team)

Not to mention they posted the parking metres on the small pavements and people had to walk on the street to get around them, AND an article posted in the Gulf Times reavealed that the metres were installed without the proper planning and without the knowledge of a certain person who was responsible for the implementation.

I had to laugh that of peson on that level would openly admit that he had no knowlege of the work having been done.

They will come again - be sure.

come up with that idea they installed the meters too but the residents were not happy about that so they removed it. but i think they might come with a new solution just to get the traffic easy in central doha.
