Looking for a job

I have been looking for a job for one month now, applied overall, online and personal, no replies at all. What is this system? why no professional action has been taken regarding this matter? I started to believe that this matter has been left for unprofessional, irresponsible and uninterested people who are just stuck on their chairs and don't even bother to pass the form to the right hands.
Please correct if I am wrong and what is the solution for this real problem?
Any advises of experienced members???

with a mentality like yours - you expect them to call you back.

Jayca:I do call and follow up, but the answer is the same; if they need you, they will call you> but you dump lady, why you don't reply with yes or not? why you are so retarted? don't you know to be bit polite and reply to the email at least? ??? the answer is no.

You are right, I am trying my best to get knowing the head of the companies, but is like reaching the stars here, you know what I mean, don't you?

thanks

Well Mohd Younnes, your assumptions are more then correct. Most have never come across the word professional out here and going by the advertisements on the papers and in QL you need to have the right connections as it is wanted pinoy only, kerala only and Lankans only so the others really need to have more then education and experience to get in.

if you already hand over your resume and you hear nothing from them, it would not harm you to call them instead for follow up :).. i agree with ingeniero, give an ad to a local newspaper,or post you CV online, let your friends here knows that you are looking for a job, so they can tell it to their friends' friends and friends.. lol, be patient, if still nothing happens, i guess you have your luck somewhere else :) But then again, i hope you find a job soon.. Goodluck!

Hi dude,

thanks for your reply,

I have worked in Dubai for 2 years, it was nice. But somehow the situation has collapsed and the whole system has changed. Salaries are not the same as before and thousands of people have been cancelled. So the role is for Qatar now. Indeed there is big difference between the 2 countries, but it will come one day for qatar. So I decided to hit the ball here in Doha hoping to find the new challenge. But unfortunately and as I mentioned on the top of the thread, the system is very weird here and it is in the wrong hands.

Qatar correspondance is very slow when compare to other countries. Pls try to be patience as much then only you will get positive reply. If you are in vist really worrie abt days ends but no results of interviews. Your field of scope is very less compare to UAE. UAE is Marketing country lot of opertunity. Qatar is valued for Techincal Skill Persons. I hope my reply will give positive face.

All the best Friend

Hope to see you in Good Job in Qatar

Buddy u must find some reference prior to applying to a company.. else it would be too much difficult.. give an ad in local newspaper.. and try to find some one whom you can use as a reference some where..

You might consider that you won't get any calls until Ramadan ends... this period of time in this region is usually dead. Good luck anyways

I am afraid your assumptions are quite accurate!

WASTA is an essential ingredient to succeed in this region, particularly if your profile is not in demand!
