Look at this…

This morning in my way to office I saw this car, then while returning back I stopped by in between to see what exactly has happened, couldn’t figure out the exact reason of the accident coz nobody was there to tell me, but what I saw there was pathetic, this accident took place right after 200 mtrs from the speed camera, that shows the speed of the car would be below 100 when this happened, the front of the car bumped the safety rails but couldn’t climb up the rails.

Below are my comments about Nissan Murano. (Please correct me if I’m wrong.)

1. The front shaft and suspension of the car is soooo week that it broke into pieces and couldn’t climb up to safety rails on the divider.

2. Trunk door of the car is made of fiber (why?)

3. How could this happen to a car, if it flips and roll over just once or twice at this speed.

4. All the pillars given in the car were crushed into pieces that shows the poor quality of the frame.

I lived 30 yrs in UAE but I must say that driving in Qatar is not safe !!!

Traffice police is not doing much to track the rackless drives ..

Actually the tearing mechanism of a car is devised in the way that person remains safe but the car can break apart to dessipate the the impact energy imparted by getting the parts twisted and to yield. The whole focus is to save the passengers not the car in a car design. The same happens in the seismic buiding design.

Yep Eco-savvy,

the problem is producing a cheap car with loads of luxury options, if you see Volvo they doesn’t have much attractive engines and designs but their cars are built very strong...

If we keep apart Patrol & Land cruiser there is no strong and enough safe car in Toyota or Nissan...

OMG, did he survive?

Nope Adnan, if that would have been the case then there was no chance for suspension damage, yaa one more thing.. if you are talking abt the reinforcement bars, I do agree all the cars have them, but those bars were broken into small pieces and most of the companies are doing front crushes for safety tests…

Second thing… if the car would have rose high and flipped, then the safety rails of the divider would definitely have been broken…

This seems to me an extremely bad accident.

Actually the cars like Nissan and other famous company goes through a standard crash testing in the labs both from the front and from the sides. It has protective reinforced alloy rods on the side doors to take the lateral impacts.

I think that the car rose up and then struck the road with great impact that has crushed its roof. All depends at which angles it got over turned.
