London..(What!!!)

London..my favorite place in the world.. I'm planning to go there at June..hopefully!

Harrods, Hyde Park...Harrods, how good can it get? I've been there many many times..and it seems I never get board...

but....it's very, or should i say.....slight..no little bit..no..IT IS...

VERY...

VERY.......

VERY............

                                            EXPENSIVE!!                                                 Yell

i believe from my previous experience there in london, is that it's too crowded, swamped not to mention expensive...

My mother is searching for a house in Oxfordshire, some where out of London..

Yet..and still..I'm not going to be prevented nor abandoned from visiting london..Many many people from the Gulf and here from Qatar are there...it's unbelievable.

It;s like the people u see in Qatar are copy-pasted there..

It's kind of weird,,,cause here in qatar I wear an Abaya but take it off in London...

But when I see Qataris there, I get all weird and my face kind of swallows.

They have only one thing in common, well, most of them...is that their rich...

very rich...

Have u ever saw the rush in Harrods before..

trust me....not a sight!

Make sure that you return....

Most of the ppl who go there wont return to qatar...

They will settle in London itself..

I never suggested otherwise DG! I only meant to say that sometimes this world can consume us without realizing it! It is halal to have those blessings but also a big responsibility too. May Allah make it easy! InshAllah alahumma ameen.

Qatari Princess I hope you have a great experience on your holiday. InshAllah ameen.

It looks like you are not going to take this humble subject with you for the trip. At least buy something for the subject when you return. :)

Have a safe and exciting vacation.

Do you think its worth the money on some of these items? I know for most people its just chump change but I always wonder if its really worth it. Do we buy more than we need? I just gave away 8 huge bags of my daughters clothes and felt really guilty she has so many in the first place.

I'm rooting out all the mess in my life and plan to take a long holiday living in a hut for a while! So it can take me back to reality!

Yes that is true DG it is called oxford STREET! The best street is the one behind oxford though. Could you remind me the name DG??  I can hardly ever remember the name as I rarely shop there but have heard from socialites that it is much more peaceful then Oxford. (shrugs)

PH, I think you mean Oxford STREET, not Oxford Road.

well from a person who lived in oxfordshire for 4 years, it is as expensive as london, and as crowded as london, if you are into somewhere quite and not full of arabs try to go to the northern parts of uk, but my personal humble opinion just spend few days in london see how its crowded then go the northern parts and spend couple of days there as well, good luck with that,

It depends on what her mom has planned dolcezza.  But I think your right about hiring out a hotel for shopping trips though and just having a cottage as base! It takes forever to drive into London!

How long do you plan to stay in England Qatari princess?

The harrods rush in the morning is always exciting and I love all the childrens clothes! Oxford Rd is great on the weekdays cuz its less crowded.  And I recommend taking buses and the tube rather then be chaufferred.  The hop on hop off bus is really interesting too!

Don't worry about hijab and abaya. Even strict "mullah" me has taken mine off for the experience. I felt so pretty afterwards too! lol

When you are having a vacation in London, it should be in a hotel.

This is London-Girl's suggestion.

Why not? A humble subject will be of help in many situations.

For starters,

1. Can open doors

2. Can hold the flowing gown

3. Can carry stuff you buy from Harrods

etc.
