I ll move in Qatar in a short time and Iwould like to get some info.
How the life overthere (for the moment I am in Oman, is there many things to do, visit, etc ... ?
How costly is the life ?
Good place to live ?
never been to oman but qatar today is developing so fast compared to when i arrived 3.5 yrs ago. many malls, cinemas, yes camping and duning too(our fav week end affair with a bunch of fellow duners),if you are into sports then there is the rugby club, or if u play golf we have that here , a group of friend here who are into kite surfing etc etc. so depends wat is it that would be of interest to you. of course there are some who says that doha is a boring place, well each to their own......
life's too short so make the most of it, you only live but once.......
That's what I would like to know differences between Oman and Qatar.
Here camping is easy going out not so much (3 differente places you get quick bored and not so much movies opr musuem or theater). What about Qatar on these points ?
is awesome just join me for the adventures and you will love it. ppl are nice and wonderful helpful. you will enjoy it alot.and i think the enjoyment you will find here you dont have that in Oman.,
Quite wrong medo_qatar, it's not such a boring country, I mean sure it's not New York city but there are still fun things to do. And it doesn't have bad local people, I've met some wonderful Qataris; yes I've met some arrogant Qataris but hey there are bad apples on every tree, don't let those few bad ones ruin ur image for the entire population. As for being treated like a slave, that depends on ur sponsor and all, and everyone I know so far definitely doesn't think they're being treated like a slave. I think the laborers and construction workers are sometimes treated like slaves, but not the blue-collar employees.

Life here is alright. The rents are high though, and cost of living is definitely not cheap. There aren't many things to do but there are movies, beaches, clubs, bars, etc. It's generally a quiet place and if u have a group of good friends then it's a good place to live in.
