Legendary Sufi Singer Amjad Sabri is no more
Last week, armed gunmen killed a legendary sufi singer in Karachi, named Amjad Farid Sabri (aged 39).
With thunderous and yet very sweet voice, he mesmerized millions by his sufi singing. When ever he sang in India, hundreds changed their faith from others to Islam, there and then.

He was undoubtedly one of the best Sufi singers of Pakistan, perhaps having an incomparable voice quality and singing skills that he mastered from his father and uncle, who both (Ghulam Farid Sabri & Maqbool Sabri), too were prominent for Sufi singing in their times.
He used to sing mainly the praising verses for sufi saints, the prophet of Islam and his family. Some of the writers from Shia section of Islam encouraged him to sing special praising verses about their faith, which annoyed the others, who gave him life threats. However, the exact reason of his death is yet to be investigated and determined.
