flor1212 - REALLY!? your son's laptop really on hell of a laptop... he really have a great job of taking care of it...Even yours too, you have it for 7yrs! hehehe! maybe for surfing net and just small task i can do same job. but im really in to studying photoshop and playing games so i think the lifespan of my laptop will really decrease...
dukebluedevil - hehehe... maybe your right, i jut want to have a reliable laptop with reasonable price... i just dont want to spend my money for a junk ^_^ thanks...
If you wanna a go for a laptop which serves you in both areas; Work & Gaming - Go for a Toshiba Laptop. i5, i7 with 4 GB Ram & minimum 1 GB Nvidia Quadro FX graphics card. Hdd can be of 160 GB or less as it does not matters much & helps you in budgetting.
he's a ComScie and works as web designer. He is into computer and his laptop has been with him for almost five years. Not service yet, upgraded many times (I bought it in China when I was there), it's an ACER!I am using a BenQ laptop, 7 years old, Celeron and a small RAM. But the only thing I've changed so far is the power cable plug (not even the adaptor) which cost me here 27 QR.
Avoid HP like a plague. Vaio- is excellent latop but overpriced Dell- is a good choice. Reliable latop and afforable price Toshiba- is good as wellAcer is awful. you get what you pay for Macbook- Very good laptops but overpriced.
flor1212 - ^_^ dont worry i know how to take care of my things... i just have a bad exp in the philippines in my old laptop, so post here to ask QLers opinion... anyway thanks again for giving your opinion...

1. HP (Easy service, updates and maintenance-cost also resonable)
2.Dell (Easy service but updates are difficult)
3. Sony (expensive by cost)
4.Toshiba(not satisfied by using them)
For gaming, any Brand with good video card, (ATI, NVIDIA). Just buy a cooling Pad. If you have budget, go for the latest model of Toshiba.
