Is there anywhere in Doha that i can get an unhealthy UK style "after pub" kebab? Im moving there in a week or so, and i have been deprived of em living here in Malaysia!
Yea i agree, friends and outlook are important. However, more importantly its 5pm on a friday here in KL, which means me leaving work and going for a nice cold beer with the boys!!
Good talkin to ya, i'll probably see you on here again!! Ciao!
now it's Corndog ? lol, well I'm actually doing GREAT, u see between my hectic schedule from class to class, wonderful 15,000 word assignments, plenty of exams and long hours of studying I barely get the time to notice how greenless, sad and boring Doha really is lol
Honestly Doha isn't that bad, u just need to have that fun loving spirit (i.e just make the best of what u got and enjoy whatever comes along) and some good friends and u'll be fine...I mean look at how well I'm doing...I'm spending my morning on Qatar Living...how sad and lonely hahaha
Haha the Dean should hear this "Cornholio"..My uni is called Cornell and thus I'm a Cornellian lol
"It's only a 2 year contract so i should be able to tough it out"...yes that's what they all said before coming here, now they're all depressed crying for mommy in their little corners...sure u can tough it out *says it with an evil smirk* mwahahaha
Hey ur a med student, perhaps you'll be assisting on my heart bypass from kebab induced artery blockage!! Lol..
Yea, ive visited doha quite a bit on business so i know what its like. I will seriously miss the green out here though, and the weekend getaway islands, and the food!!! I'll be back and forwards though between malaysia and doha though, and its only a 2 year contract so i should be able to tough it out *manly grunt* lol
makes sense, I'm sure it's not Qatar's amazing skin melting weather in summer or its life-threatening hectic road driving that attracts people here, it's all about the opportunities and money. All I can tell u before coming here is enjoy Malaysia's forests as much as u can cause the only green u'll see here is the artifical plant in the supermarket :D I'm so encouraging...i know ! LOL, naah it's not that bad here (im just trying to make u feel better lol)...cheers xxx
Basically my wife works for a bank (standardchartered) and has been offered a position / package thats too good to turn down! My work is mega flexible so it doesnt matter where i work from, and our boy is only 4 so schooling isnt too much of an issue either. Have been in KL now for over 10 years, love the place, but basically, SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!
I shall forgive u for the triple post...only this once ! :P lol just kidding, and for ur info...kebabs aren't filth ! lol, anyways well there's alot of places here where u can find good kebabs but damnit forgot the names, i'll get u the names of the places asap. but why are u leaving Malaysia to come here ??? I loved Malyasia especially those two islands Penang and Langkawi...ahhh paradise on Earth...good times!
