“Brigitte, a Frenchman originally from France's Caribbean department of Guadeloupe, had gone to Pakistan shortly after Sept. 11 to try to reach Afghanistan. Unable to make it, he had been sent to a Lashkar centre outside Lahore. A man named Sajid Mir became his handler.
"He quickly understood that Sajid belonged to the regular Pakistan army," wrote Bruguiere.
After 1-1/2 months, he was taken with four other trainees, two British and two Americans, to a Lashkar camp in the hills in Punjab province. The Toyota pick-up which took them there passed through four army check-points without being stopped.
During his 2-1/2 month stay at the camp, Bruguiere says, Brigitte realised the instructors were soldiers on detachment. Military supplies were dropped by army helicopters.
Brigitte said he and other foreigners were forced four times to leave the camp and move further up into the hills to avoid being caught by CIA officers.
They were believed to be checking if Pakistan had kept to a deal under which the Americans turned a blind eye to Lashkar camps in Punjab provided no foreigners were trained there.”

SM Mushrif, the author of "Who Killed Karkare?" and former police chief of Maharashtra state, has raised some very serious questions about the role of the Indian intelligence in the increasing violence committed by Hindutva outfits against India's minorities, and how India's Intelligence Bureau diverts attention from it by falsely accusing Indian Muslims and Pakistan's ISI, as was done in Malegaon and Samjutha Express blasts.
A new book curiously titled "Who Killed Karkare?"(published by Pharos Media) says a nationwide network of Hindutva terror that has its tentacles spread up to Nepal and Israel is out to destroy the India most Indians have known for ages and to remould it into some kind of Afghanistan under the Taliban.
The writer, a former IG Police of Maharashtra, SM Mushrif, has reconstructed a fearsome picture out of former Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare’s chargesheet against alleged Hindutva terrorists like Lt. Col. Purohit, Sadhvi Pragyasingh Thakur and others.
The chargesheet pointed towards a mind-boggling nationwide conspiracy with international support to destabilize the constitutional order and the secular democratic Indian state that upholds it, to be replaced by a Hindutva state run according to a new Constitution. For that the conspirators were prepared for a massive bloodbath, using bomb attacks on religious places to trigger an anti-Muslim holocaust.
Mushrif, who has over three decades of diligent policing behind him and whose feats include exposing the Telgi scam, has made an elaborate case out of nearly a dozen blasts over a large area of the country conducted by Hindutva terror groups of different stripes. His case: a section of India’s intelligence services, a miniscule group in the armed forces and a section of different state police forces have been compromised and infiltrated by these elements, a development that bodes ill for the future of the country.
In Hemant Karkare’s net (of investigations, of course) many big and small fishes of VHP, RSS, Bajrang Dal and Sanatan Sanstha (which has been found to be involved in Diwali-eve blasts in Goa last week) had been trapped. Serving and retired army officers, academics, serving and retired officials of India’s premier intelligence service were ensnared in Karkare’s fishing net. The menacing power of the latter groups, inspired by sustained anti-Muslim hate campaigns of the last six decades, gave the plot a sinister and highly destructive character.
Mushrif, who very well knows the power of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) to make or mar lives and careers, says he is prepared to face the consequences of hostility of this power hub. He musters “evidence” to show that the IB has regularly been interfering with regular police investigations to let Hindutva terrorists slip out of the net and replace them with random Muslim youth. To fudge the issues further obliging police officers in the states would not mind exterminating a few Muslim youth to be branded posthumously as “terrorists”.
There are quite a few number of such cases where such extra-judicial killing of Muslim youth has turned out to be false police encounters. All this is done to cover tracks of Hindutva terror. Mushrif says a “Brahminist” network that has its origins in Maharashtra, and is closely knit across political parties, government services, including IB, and other vital sectors of life is behind the terror that seeks to destroy the secular, democratic state. He hastens to clarify that very few Brahminists are Brahmins. Many are from other high Hindu castes, some from middle and lower castes.
Most Brahmins are fair-minded and would not like to associate themselves with hate ideologies. Hemant Karkare, too, was a Brahmin, Mushrif says. So is Mushrif’s son-in-law.
It is pertinent to note that “Brahminism” and “Brahminical order” first appeared in Dalit protest vocabulary in the Dalit uprising movement in Maharashtra towards the turn of the 20th century. Mushrif, who appropriates part of this vocabulary for the present discourse, says that Maharashtra still remains the centre of this ideology that, among other things, has the dubious distinction of killing the Father of the Nation.
The power establishment that really runs the affairs of this country (Mushrif says it is not Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh or Rahul Gandhi) does not want to expose the Hindutva terrorists. One example is the blasts in Samjhauta Express, which the IB said was carried out by Pakistan’s ISI. Mushrif quotes a report in The Times of India that said, “the Centre had blamed the ISI on the basis of the IB’s findings.” However, during a narco-analysis test under Karkare, Lt. Col. Purohit had admitted having supplied the RDX used in the blast. The IB, which draws its power from its proximity to the Prime Minister (its director briefs the PM every morning for half an hour), did not want Karkare’s investigation that blew the cover off the IB’s shenanigans, to continue.
Once Karkare was removed from the scene, the IB moved in to fill his position with KP Raghuvanshi, a pliant police officer with extremely low credibility among Muslims for his record of letting off known Hindutva terrorists and implicating innocent Muslim youth even in bomb attack cases on mosques.
There are quite a few interesting vignettes here, like Raghuvanshi and Col. Purohit’s association with Abhinav Bharat in Maharashtra, whose hand was evident in a series of blasts across the country. It has old connections with men like Veer Damodar Savarkar (whose relative Himani Savarkar leads the Abhinav Bharat movement), Dr Munje, who led the Hindu Mahasabha, and other Hindutva luminaries. It is at the Bhonsala Military Academy run by these groups that Purohit trained police officers, including Raghuvanshi. Mushrif asks a pertinent question: Will Raghuvanshi pursue the investigation against Purohit, his guru? A plausible answer is, perhaps no. Already charges have been dropped by a special court under MCOCA against 11 accused, including Purohit, on the grounds of insufficient evidence produced in the court by the prosecution.
This was just the beginning of the undoing of Karkare’s painstaking investigation. Mushrif says slowly the system is working to undo all of Karkare’s work and let off the terrorists who over the years destroyed scores of lives and wreaked irreparable economic damage. The ATS team under Karkare had pointed out VHP leader Praveen Togadia’s role in the blasts. The ATS under Raghuvanshi dropped the investigation against him saying (please hold your laughter) they do not know who Togadia is!
A number of investigations have been thus sabotaged by the powers that be and the tracks of the Hinduta terrorists duly covered. The 319-page book is crammed with such information.
But what about who killed Karkare? Mushrif says two teams were at work on 26/11 – one which did the maximum damage, and was from outside. The smaller team took advantage of the confusion of the moment and acted only on the relatively small CST-CAMA-Rangbhavan stretch that killed Karkare. It was a desi unit that wanted Karkare and his men out of the way.
Unfortunately, the Indian government has miserably failed, and continues to fail to investigate the allegations that are very very serious. The author, by raising these issues, adds his heavy weight by virtue of his inside knowledge and the position he held, to the extremely serious allegations.

عمران نے اس پورے معاملہ کی وضاحت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ سوسائٹی نے ان کے والدین کے ساتھ این او سی دینے کے لیے ٹال مٹول کی۔ انہیں کئی مرتبہ دفتر بلایا اور پھر گزشتہ روز کہہ دیا کہ وہ انہیں این او سی نہیں دیں گے۔
یہ ایک انتہائی سنگین مسئلہ ہے وہ دونوں فریقین کی بات سنیں گے اور متعلقہ افراد کے بیانات درج کریں گے۔ اور اگر الزام سچ ثابت ہوا تو ذات پات اور مذہب کی بنیاد پر تفریق کرنے اور ٹھیس پہچانے جیسے سنگین الزامات کے تحت کیس درج کرنے کی متعلقہ محکمے کو ہدایت جاری کریں گے۔

بھٹ نے مزید کہا کہ جب ایک نامور ہستی کے ساتھ ایسا ہوتا ہے تو پھر یہ سوچ کر ان کی روح کانپ جاتی ہے کہ دوسرے عام مسلمانوں کے ساتھ کس طرح کی تفریق ملک میں ہوتی ہو گی۔
عمران نے کہا کہ ایسا پہلی مرتبہ نہیں ہوا ہے انہیں اس سے پہلے بھی کئی ایجنٹوں نے کہا تھا کہ انہیں پوش علاقوں کی سوسائیٹیوں میں فلیٹ نہیں مل سکتا کیونکہ وہ مسلمانوں کو فلیٹ نہیں دیتے ہیں۔ عمران نے سوال کیا کہ کیا وہ دہشت گرد ہیں آخر انہیں فلیٹ کیوں نہیں مل سکتا؟
دوسری جانب سوسائٹی کے سکریٹری جے پی چیترے نے عمران کے الزامات کو غلط اور بے بنیاد قرار دیا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ عمران نے گزشتہ ہفتے ہی این او سی کے لیے خط دیا تھا لیکن سوسائٹی کے چیئرمین باہر گئے تھے اس لیے فیصلہ جلد نہیں ہو سکا۔ انہوں نے وضاحت کی کہ مسلمانوں پر کوئی پابندی نہیں ہے اور ایسا کہیں بھی لکھا نہیں ہے۔
سکریٹری کے اس بیان پر عمران کا کہنا تھا کہ اب معاملہ چونکہ میڈیا میں آگیا ہے اس لیے وہ قبول کرنے سے انکار کر رہے ہیں جب کہ انہیں واضح طور پر کہہ دیا گیا ہے کہ سوسائٹی انہیں این او سی نہیں دے گی۔

फ़िल्म अभिनेता इमरान हाशमी का कहना है कि उन्हें पाली हिल में मुसलमान होने की वजह से फ्लैट देने से इनकार कर दिया गया.
इमरान हाशमी ने राज्य के अल्पसंख्यक कमीशन को अपनी एक शिकायत में कहा है कि मुंबई के मशहूर इलाके पाली हिल में निभाना सोसाइटी ने उन्हें घर ख़रीदने से रोक दिया है.
उनके अनुसार ऐसा फ़ैसला उनके मुसलमान होने की वजह से किया गया.
इमरान हाशमी ने पत्रकारों से बातचीत में कहा कि उनका पाली हिल में एक फ्लैट ख़रीदने का सौदा हो गया था लेकिन सोसाइटी ने उन्हें अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र देने से इनकार कर दिया.
उनका कहना था कि सौदा होने के बाद उनके पिता ने कई चक्कर लगाए और कई दिन टरकाने के बाद उन्हें इनकार कर दिया.
उन्होंने कहा कि उनसे सीधे तौर पर तो नहीं कहा गया कि लेकिन ये स्पष्ट है कि उन्हें मुसलमान होने की वजह से अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र नहीं दिया गया.
मेरा पाली हिल में एक फ्लैट ख़रीदने का सौदा हो गया था लेकिन सोसाइटी ने मुसलमान होने के कारण अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र देने से इनकार कर दिया.

इमरान का कहना था कि अब दलील दी जा रही है कि फ़िल्मों में उनके किरदार के कारण ऐसा किया और उनके फ्लैट ख़रीदने से बच्चों पर बुरा असर पड़ता.
उनका कहना था कि इस सोसाइटी में प्रेम चोपड़ा भी रहते हैं और उन्होंने अधिकतर फ़िल्मों में नकारात्मक भूमिकाएँ की हैं.
महेश भट्ट का कहना था कि इमरान हाशमी ने असलियत को सामने रखा है और एक अहम मुद्दा उठाया है.
उनका कहना था कि आए दिन ये होता है लेकिन हम चुप रह जाते हैं, इसलिए हमने ये मुद्दा उठाने का फ़ैसला किया.
मुसलमान होने की मुश्किल
दूसरी ओर सोसाइटी का कहना है कि अभी उनकी ख़रीदारी पर अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र जारी करने पर कोई फ़ैसला नहीं लिया गया है.
पाली हिल में एक हाउसिंग सोसाइटी ने बीबीसी को बताया की इस इलाक़े में सभी धर्म के लोग हैं.
इस सोसाइटी के सचिव मनीष वाडिया कहते हैं,"हमारी बिल्डिंग में कैथोलिक, मुसलमान और हिंदू मिलकर रहते हैं.''
इमरान हाशमी ने असलियत को सामने रखा है और एक अहम मुद्दा उठाया है.

"He quickly understood that Sajid belonged to the regular Pakistan army," wrote Bruguiere.
After 1-1/2 months, he was taken with four other trainees, two British and two Americans, to a Lashkar camp in the hills in Punjab province. The Toyota pick-up which took them there passed through four army check-points without being stopped.
During his 2-1/2 month stay at the camp, Bruguiere says, Brigitte realised the instructors were soldiers on detachment. Military supplies were dropped by army helicopters.
Brigitte said he and other foreigners were forced four times to leave the camp and move further up into the hills to avoid being caught by CIA officers.
They were believed to be checking if Pakistan had kept to a deal under which the Americans turned a blind eye to Lashkar camps in Punjab provided no foreigners were trained there.”

Who Killed KarKare?
SM Mushrif, the author of "Who Killed Karkare?" and former police chief of Maharashtra state, has raised some very serious questions about the role of the Indian intelligence in the increasing violence committed by Hindutva outfits against India's minorities, and how India's Intelligence Bureau diverts attention from it by falsely accusing Indian Muslims and Pakistan's ISI, as was done in Malegaon and Samjutha Express blasts.
A new book curiously titled "Who Killed Karkare?"(published by Pharos Media) says a nationwide network of Hindutva terror that has its tentacles spread up to Nepal and Israel is out to destroy the India most Indians have known for ages and to remould it into some kind of Afghanistan under the Taliban.
The writer, a former IG Police of Maharashtra, SM Mushrif, has reconstructed a fearsome picture out of former Maharashtra ATS chief Hemant Karkare’s chargesheet against alleged Hindutva terrorists like Lt. Col. Purohit, Sadhvi Pragyasingh Thakur and others.
The chargesheet pointed towards a mind-boggling nationwide conspiracy with international support to destabilize the constitutional order and the secular democratic Indian state that upholds it, to be replaced by a Hindutva state run according to a new Constitution. For that the conspirators were prepared for a massive bloodbath, using bomb attacks on religious places to trigger an anti-Muslim holocaust.
Mushrif, who has over three decades of diligent policing behind him and whose feats include exposing the Telgi scam, has made an elaborate case out of nearly a dozen blasts over a large area of the country conducted by Hindutva terror groups of different stripes. His case: a section of India’s intelligence services, a miniscule group in the armed forces and a section of different state police forces have been compromised and infiltrated by these elements, a development that bodes ill for the future of the country.
In Hemant Karkare’s net (of investigations, of course) many big and small fishes of VHP, RSS, Bajrang Dal and Sanatan Sanstha (which has been found to be involved in Diwali-eve blasts in Goa last week) had been trapped. Serving and retired army officers, academics, serving and retired officials of India’s premier intelligence service were ensnared in Karkare’s fishing net. The menacing power of the latter groups, inspired by sustained anti-Muslim hate campaigns of the last six decades, gave the plot a sinister and highly destructive character.
Mushrif, who very well knows the power of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) to make or mar lives and careers, says he is prepared to face the consequences of hostility of this power hub. He musters “evidence” to show that the IB has regularly been interfering with regular police investigations to let Hindutva terrorists slip out of the net and replace them with random Muslim youth. To fudge the issues further obliging police officers in the states would not mind exterminating a few Muslim youth to be branded posthumously as “terrorists”.
There are quite a few number of such cases where such extra-judicial killing of Muslim youth has turned out to be false police encounters. All this is done to cover tracks of Hindutva terror. Mushrif says a “Brahminist” network that has its origins in Maharashtra, and is closely knit across political parties, government services, including IB, and other vital sectors of life is behind the terror that seeks to destroy the secular, democratic state. He hastens to clarify that very few Brahminists are Brahmins. Many are from other high Hindu castes, some from middle and lower castes.
Most Brahmins are fair-minded and would not like to associate themselves with hate ideologies. Hemant Karkare, too, was a Brahmin, Mushrif says. So is Mushrif’s son-in-law.
It is pertinent to note that “Brahminism” and “Brahminical order” first appeared in Dalit protest vocabulary in the Dalit uprising movement in Maharashtra towards the turn of the 20th century. Mushrif, who appropriates part of this vocabulary for the present discourse, says that Maharashtra still remains the centre of this ideology that, among other things, has the dubious distinction of killing the Father of the Nation.
The power establishment that really runs the affairs of this country (Mushrif says it is not Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh or Rahul Gandhi) does not want to expose the Hindutva terrorists. One example is the blasts in Samjhauta Express, which the IB said was carried out by Pakistan’s ISI. Mushrif quotes a report in The Times of India that said, “the Centre had blamed the ISI on the basis of the IB’s findings.” However, during a narco-analysis test under Karkare, Lt. Col. Purohit had admitted having supplied the RDX used in the blast. The IB, which draws its power from its proximity to the Prime Minister (its director briefs the PM every morning for half an hour), did not want Karkare’s investigation that blew the cover off the IB’s shenanigans, to continue.
Once Karkare was removed from the scene, the IB moved in to fill his position with KP Raghuvanshi, a pliant police officer with extremely low credibility among Muslims for his record of letting off known Hindutva terrorists and implicating innocent Muslim youth even in bomb attack cases on mosques.
There are quite a few interesting vignettes here, like Raghuvanshi and Col. Purohit’s association with Abhinav Bharat in Maharashtra, whose hand was evident in a series of blasts across the country. It has old connections with men like Veer Damodar Savarkar (whose relative Himani Savarkar leads the Abhinav Bharat movement), Dr Munje, who led the Hindu Mahasabha, and other Hindutva luminaries. It is at the Bhonsala Military Academy run by these groups that Purohit trained police officers, including Raghuvanshi. Mushrif asks a pertinent question: Will Raghuvanshi pursue the investigation against Purohit, his guru? A plausible answer is, perhaps no. Already charges have been dropped by a special court under MCOCA against 11 accused, including Purohit, on the grounds of insufficient evidence produced in the court by the prosecution.
This was just the beginning of the undoing of Karkare’s painstaking investigation. Mushrif says slowly the system is working to undo all of Karkare’s work and let off the terrorists who over the years destroyed scores of lives and wreaked irreparable economic damage. The ATS team under Karkare had pointed out VHP leader Praveen Togadia’s role in the blasts. The ATS under Raghuvanshi dropped the investigation against him saying (please hold your laughter) they do not know who Togadia is!
A number of investigations have been thus sabotaged by the powers that be and the tracks of the Hinduta terrorists duly covered. The 319-page book is crammed with such information.
But what about who killed Karkare? Mushrif says two teams were at work on 26/11 – one which did the maximum damage, and was from outside. The smaller team took advantage of the confusion of the moment and acted only on the relatively small CST-CAMA-Rangbhavan stretch that killed Karkare. It was a desi unit that wanted Karkare and his men out of the way.
Unfortunately, the Indian government has miserably failed, and continues to fail to investigate the allegations that are very very serious. The author, by raising these issues, adds his heavy weight by virtue of his inside knowledge and the position he held, to the extremely serious allegations.

“As soon as I entered the train, I saw some commuters beating up a Pathani-clad man. Even before I could realise what was happening, two of the commuters saw me and started hitting me as well. The watch repair mechanic was all the more stunned when he was asked to take the name of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna. “When they started hitting me, I screamed ‘Allah’. عمران باندرہ کی نبانا کوآپریٹیو سوسائٹی میں ایک فلیٹ لینے کے خواہشمند تھے جس کے لیے فلیٹ کا مالک انہیں فلیٹ دینے کے لیے تیار تھا اور عمران ایجنٹ کو ایک لاکھ روپیہ بطور پیشگی بھی دے چکے تھے لیکن سوسائٹی نے فلیٹ خریدنے کے لیے عمران کو این او سی دینے سے انکار کر دیا۔
عمران اور ان کے انکل فلمساز مہیش بھٹ نے ایک پریس کانفرنس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ انتہائی افسوسناک بات ہے کہ ممبئی شہر ہی نہیں ملک میں مسلمانوں کے خلاف اس طرح کی باتیں ہو رہی ہیں۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ وہ علاقہ جہاں سنیل دت اور نرگس جیسی ہستیاں رہ چکی ہیں جو سیکولرازم کی مثال تھے جہاں دلیپ صاحب جیسے لوگ رہتے ہیں وہاں اس اکسویں صدی میں اگر کمیونلزم کا وائرس پنپے گا تو یہ ہمارے لیے تشوی کا باعث ہے۔
بھٹ نے کہا کہ یہ نئی بات نہیں ہے ۔ اس سے قبل بھی پرانے دور کی اداکارہ ممتاز کو ممبئٰ میں فلیٹ نہیں ملا لیکن ان کے شوہر کو فلیٹ دیا گیا کیونکہ وہ اکثریتی طبقہ سے تعلق رکھتے تھے۔ بھٹ نے دوسری مثال شبانہ اعظمی کی دی جنہیں جوہو جیسے علاقے میں محض اس لیے بنگلہ خریدنے نہیں دیا گیا کیونکہ وہ مسلمان ہیں۔ شبانہ نے اس وقت یہ انکشاف کیا تھا جس کی بعد ہندو سخت گیر تنظیموں نے مخالفت کی تھی۔
عمران نے اس پورے معاملہ کی وضاحت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ سوسائٹی نے ان کے والدین کے ساتھ این او سی دینے کے لیے ٹال مٹول کی۔ انہیں کئی مرتبہ دفتر بلایا اور پھر گزشتہ روز کہہ دیا کہ وہ انہیں این او سی نہیں دیں گے۔
یہ ایک انتہائی سنگین مسئلہ ہے وہ دونوں فریقین کی بات سنیں گے اور متعلقہ افراد کے بیانات درج کریں گے۔ اور اگر الزام سچ ثابت ہوا تو ذات پات اور مذہب کی بنیاد پر تفریق کرنے اور ٹھیس پہچانے جیسے سنگین الزامات کے تحت کیس درج کرنے کی متعلقہ محکمے کو ہدایت جاری کریں گے۔

بھٹ نے مزید کہا کہ جب ایک نامور ہستی کے ساتھ ایسا ہوتا ہے تو پھر یہ سوچ کر ان کی روح کانپ جاتی ہے کہ دوسرے عام مسلمانوں کے ساتھ کس طرح کی تفریق ملک میں ہوتی ہو گی۔
عمران نے کہا کہ ایسا پہلی مرتبہ نہیں ہوا ہے انہیں اس سے پہلے بھی کئی ایجنٹوں نے کہا تھا کہ انہیں پوش علاقوں کی سوسائیٹیوں میں فلیٹ نہیں مل سکتا کیونکہ وہ مسلمانوں کو فلیٹ نہیں دیتے ہیں۔ عمران نے سوال کیا کہ کیا وہ دہشت گرد ہیں آخر انہیں فلیٹ کیوں نہیں مل سکتا؟
دوسری جانب سوسائٹی کے سکریٹری جے پی چیترے نے عمران کے الزامات کو غلط اور بے بنیاد قرار دیا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ عمران نے گزشتہ ہفتے ہی این او سی کے لیے خط دیا تھا لیکن سوسائٹی کے چیئرمین باہر گئے تھے اس لیے فیصلہ جلد نہیں ہو سکا۔ انہوں نے وضاحت کی کہ مسلمانوں پر کوئی پابندی نہیں ہے اور ایسا کہیں بھی لکھا نہیں ہے۔
سکریٹری کے اس بیان پر عمران کا کہنا تھا کہ اب معاملہ چونکہ میڈیا میں آگیا ہے اس لیے وہ قبول کرنے سے انکار کر رہے ہیں جب کہ انہیں واضح طور پر کہہ دیا گیا ہے کہ سوسائٹی انہیں این او سی نہیں دے گی۔
عمران جس سوسائٹی میں فلیٹ چاہتے ہیں اس میں کئی فلمی ہستیاں رہتی ہیں جن میں پریم چوپڑہ اور انیل دھون بھی شامل ہیں۔

عمران بالی وڈ کے نامور اداکار ہیں ان کی کئی فلمیں سپر ہٹ ہوئی تھیں۔ ان کی چند فلمیں زہر ، کل یگ ، مرڈر ، گینگسٹر ، آوارہ پن ، جنت شامل ہیں۔

इमरान हाशमी ने राज्य के अल्पसंख्यक कमीशन को अपनी एक शिकायत में कहा है कि मुंबई के मशहूर इलाके पाली हिल में निभाना सोसाइटी ने उन्हें घर ख़रीदने से रोक दिया है.
उनके अनुसार ऐसा फ़ैसला उनके मुसलमान होने की वजह से किया गया.
इमरान हाशमी ने पत्रकारों से बातचीत में कहा कि उनका पाली हिल में एक फ्लैट ख़रीदने का सौदा हो गया था लेकिन सोसाइटी ने उन्हें अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र देने से इनकार कर दिया.
उनका कहना था कि सौदा होने के बाद उनके पिता ने कई चक्कर लगाए और कई दिन टरकाने के बाद उन्हें इनकार कर दिया.
उन्होंने कहा कि उनसे सीधे तौर पर तो नहीं कहा गया कि लेकिन ये स्पष्ट है कि उन्हें मुसलमान होने की वजह से अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र नहीं दिया गया.
मेरा पाली हिल में एक फ्लैट ख़रीदने का सौदा हो गया था लेकिन सोसाइटी ने मुसलमान होने के कारण अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र देने से इनकार कर दिया.

इमरान का कहना था कि अब दलील दी जा रही है कि फ़िल्मों में उनके किरदार के कारण ऐसा किया और उनके फ्लैट ख़रीदने से बच्चों पर बुरा असर पड़ता.
उनका कहना था कि इस सोसाइटी में प्रेम चोपड़ा भी रहते हैं और उन्होंने अधिकतर फ़िल्मों में नकारात्मक भूमिकाएँ की हैं.
महेश भट्ट का कहना था कि इमरान हाशमी ने असलियत को सामने रखा है और एक अहम मुद्दा उठाया है.
उनका कहना था कि आए दिन ये होता है लेकिन हम चुप रह जाते हैं, इसलिए हमने ये मुद्दा उठाने का फ़ैसला किया.
मुसलमान होने की मुश्किल
दूसरी ओर सोसाइटी का कहना है कि अभी उनकी ख़रीदारी पर अनापत्ति प्रमाणपत्र जारी करने पर कोई फ़ैसला नहीं लिया गया है.
पाली हिल में एक हाउसिंग सोसाइटी ने बीबीसी को बताया की इस इलाक़े में सभी धर्म के लोग हैं.
इस सोसाइटी के सचिव मनीष वाडिया कहते हैं,"हमारी बिल्डिंग में कैथोलिक, मुसलमान और हिंदू मिलकर रहते हैं.''
इमरान हाशमी ने असलियत को सामने रखा है और एक अहम मुद्दा उठाया है.

मुंबई में जुहू,खार और सांताक्रुज़ जैसे कुछ उपनगरीय इलाक़े हैं जहाँ मुसलमानों को किराये पर घर लेना या ख़रीदना मुश्किल है.
पिछले साल बॉलीवुड के जुल्फ़ी सईद ने भी उनके धर्म की वजह से किराए पर घर न मिलने की शिकायत की थी.
इसके अलावा विगत में शबाना आज़मी और उनके पति जावेद अख्तर ने भी जुहू में भेदभाव की शिकायत की थी
एक पढ़ी लिखी महिला ने अपनी मुस्लिम पहचान को गुप्त रख कर अँधेरी की एक सोसाइटी में एक घर किराये पर लिया था.
उन्होंने बीबीसी को बताया की धीरे धीरे उनके पड़ोस के लोगों को मालूम हो गया कि वो मुसलमान हैं लेकिन तब तक वो अपनी सोसाइटी में काफ़ी लोकप्रिय हो चुकी थीं इसलिए किसी ने कोई आपत्ति नहीं की.
उन्होंने कहा कि उन्हें नाम इसलिए बदलना पड़ा क्योंकि कई सोसाइटी ने उन्हें मुसलमान होने के कारण घर देने से इनकार कर दिया था.
दरअसल कुछ प्रॉपर्टी एजेंटों का कहना है कि कुछ सोसाइटी मांसाहारी लोगों को जगह देने से इनकार करती हैं और मुसलमान अधिकतर मांसाहारी समझे जाते हैं इसलिए उन्हें घर मिलने में दिक्कत होती है
लेकिन तस्वीर का दूसरा रुख़ यह भी है कि मुस्लिम बहुल इलाक़ो में हिंदू और अन्य धर्मों के लोगों को घर मिलने में दिक्कत होती है.
यह बात और है कि हिंदू मुस्लिम बहुल इलाक़ों में घर ख़रीदने या किराए पर लेने से ख़ुद ही बचते हैं.

To all my peace loving Pakistani brothers & sisters reading this,it must be upsetting to have all this negative publicity & be labelled 'terrorist state' etc. by the media & knowing that the country is actually run by the army/ISI while the elected govt. are just puppets,i'm sure nobody would want to feel that & i know that you'll would go to great lengths to say that MOST Pakistani people just want peace & to live in harmony with their neighbours,just like people anywhere in the world...The sad reality though is that you guys have allowed the army to set itself in too deep in terms of control & now it's proving to be very hard to undo that control...They're hooked up with the taliban,with al-qaeda,with LeT & probably every South Asian terrorist organization that one can think of,in one way or another...That coupled with the fact that the level of unemployment is so high & level of opportunity so low,again because of successive governments being puppets to the army who use most of the budget,obviously,on themselves, that it's become a very fertile breeding ground for terrorists...one question,if this kasab kid had an opportunity to graduate from university & had half a chance of getting a decent job somewhere,do you think he'd have ended up like this? The answer is an emphatic NO,why would he allow himself to be brainwashed,risk his life & take so many innocent lives if he had a chance to get ahead in life? This is the issue that needs to be addressed,why don't you have young Indians going on killing sprees like this in Pakistan? because they have the opportunity to do something with their lives & who would want to throw that away? Sympathy, of course. No? religion allows you to kill. Forgive your enemies, and you will be forgiven. Thats what have been said somewhere. In saying so, the maximum penalty for this guy should be life imprisonment, not by hanging till death. Afterall we are not suppose to give judgement, but someone up there.
Let to have some words of sympathy wid these poor ppl.

like otherzzzz even my brain got screwed up by watching the same newz...for 6 continues day as if there was nothing to show .....
26/11 was a very well organised political game plan executed by high authorities where kasab was a caught puppet...
3 policemen holding high post were killed in this incident....just to divert the malegoan bomb blast incident which was a hot current affair newz b4 this happened and the officer behind this bomb blast investigation was killed who was among these three officers.....
it's bombay guy's where criminals control the politician and vice versa
