Beware about GOLD Ornament Making Charges
Yesterday I bought 2 Bangles from KALYAN JWELLERS ..Gharrafa LULU Branch . They charged 400 QAR Per bangle weighted 16 Gms .means we have to pay 4 gm gold price as making charges . its is too much. When I started the shopping many time I asked the sales man about Making charges . He simply saying it is starting from 7 QAR . finally when they making the bill only they are saying it is 25 QAR / PER GRAM .They are charging their advertisement and celebrity payments from us . after the negotiation the manager reduced it 22.5 - --its nothing . In the bill they will not mention about making charges . so before you purchasing the ornaments ask them about the making charges . they are more than happy to cheat us .....

22~27 per gram making charges is pretty normal with all Jewelers in Qatar. Not sure where is the cheating part is this. You might be pretty much paying the same thing back in your countries.
Cheating will be if they are selling you less quantity or quality of gold.
Try others and you will find the same making charges per gram.
I think the "football-crazy" Qatar deserved it. But, the only guys who care seem to be us, foreigners.
