CRAZED woman stabbed a pregnant mum to death — then cut open her womb to steal her baby boy.

Evil Sisouvanh Synhavong, 23, bound and gagged Araceli Gomez, then repeatedly knifed her in the chest.

She sliced Araceli’s stomach open with a craft knife and put the new-born in her car.

Araceli — two weeks from giving birth — died from loss of blood but the boy survived.

When cops arrived Synhavong claimed the tot was HERS.

Last night she was in custody facing a charge of aggravated first-degree murder.

Laos-born Synhavong met married mum-of-two Araceli, 27, on a bus and offered her baby clothes.

The horror happened last Friday in Kennewick, Washington state.

The tot was on life support in hospital last night. It is the third such killing in America since 2004

I agree the insanity plea is a cop out for the most part, but mental institution or jail, as long as they are locked away from society, helps us breathe a little easier.

a question that begs an answer but all we can do is guess, mental instability, genetic make up, brain malfunction, who knows, would be ideal if science could pinpoint it at birth and eradicate it altogether but that aint going to happen, not in our lifetime anyway.

I think the case you are referring to was part of the "Hindu / Muslim" confrontation.. I don't think it applies here.

However, what makes one carry out acts of such viciousness?

sad and sickening, sad for those women who badly want children but sickened by the extremes some will go to.

Even women desperate for children don't go to those lengths unless they are mentally unstable, help before it got to the point of no return would have been an answer but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

In these cases it is mental instability. Usually it stems from an extremely huge desire to have a child. Some women have managed to actually convince themselves they are pregnant and physically go through the whole 9 months of pregnancy, but there's no baby.

Kausar Bano, a young girl from Naroda Patiya, was several months pregnant. Several eyewitnesses testified that she was raped, tortured, her womb was slit open with a sword to disgorge the foetus which was then hacked to pieces and roasted alive with the mother

according to scientists, yes TV and Cinema can corrupt the minds of the young and impressionable, but there has to be more to it than that.

A missing gene perhaps or some other genetic malfunction??

Hard to explain the wickedness in some.

of acts. It can't always be mental instability.

Could TV and Cinema be a cause?

making me also sick to my stomach I tend to wonder what in life could make a person so mentally unstable to commit such a violent act upon another human being.
