Is It True?
Is it true that the qatar government is going to ban all vehicles those are older than year 2000? Some rumours are going on saying they are stopping issuing istamara for vehicles older than yr 2000. If somebody knows real story about this please provide me with details,thanks in advance.
Nothing said about classic vehicles, but it would be madness banning those- they could do like other countries, allowing them with restrictions.
What about classic vehicles???

There is a clause (Clause 2 of Article 8) in the new traffic law which specifies that vehicles older than 15 years are not to be registered, but the rule would be kept in abeyance until 2009.

some time back that, by 2009, cars older than 15 years will not have registration renewed. Don't quote me on it though because I just glanced at the item.
