IT jobs

Hi,

Even though it is still in the early stages, I am planning to re-locate to Doha was wondering what type of IT job opportunities might be available for me in Qatar.

I have been leading IT project implementations for almost 4 years (ERP software) and I am currently employed as a Business Analyst since October 2006 (again involved in implementing ERP solutions).

Before my career switch, I graduated in 1995 with Bachelor of Business Administration, with a major in Finance. I then held a Branch Comptroller position for more than 6 years.

I am currently looking to further my skills by either getting a PMP certification or a Business Analyst certification (i.e. CBAP).

Is there opportunities for IT Project Managers in Qatar. While looking on the various job sites, I do see a fair amount of Business Analyst positions but very seldomly any PM's. Finally, what is the salary range I could expect for a Project Manager position in Doha as well as for a BA.

Thank you all!

hope you are fine and all.I'm a final year computer science student in kenya(africa),i'm also enrolled in MCSE classes. I hope to work in Doha when i'm through sometime mid next year..........i was wondering what kind of opportunities exist there for IT professionals. I am specialising in systems engineering. Also wanted to know what would be the typical salary range for a person like me there.

Any IT professionals around here in qatarliving?

what a Systems Analyst means in Middle East... my personal interpretation of this position is a universal IT guy (or in slang - a universal IT donkey). oh yeah if u find Sr. Software Engineer the it would be leading position and would definitly requiring PM experience.

You will rarely find any job in Middle East with specific positions like PM, Software Engineer etc. just go through the details of the job posting to check whether it suite u or not.

Qatar is small and IT is not at that peek as it's in Saudi or UAE. But money in Qatar is good.
