iPhone 4 problems review

By DOT

I am old iPhone user and now want to buy new iPhone 4. but i read on internet some of iPhone 4 problems. Please advise your review if you are using iPhone 4.

1. Operating without case or holding from bottom that iPhone 4 has issues if you hold it incorrectly (Even Steve Jobs said it).

2. Reception on iPhone is usualy lower then other phones, voice quality and volume is much lower on iPhones.

3. New iPhone 4 screen is made of glass which is less relaibale then old iPhones. Glass is easy breakable and you can scratch it.

4. White Balance on Rear Camera – If you take picture sometimes (not always) iPhone 4 has issues with white balancing the picture. Lets say if you take picture of somebody and they stand behind white background, their face will more likely turn yellow.

Qtel also has launched iPhone 4 today, Vodafone is selling it already. Advise which network is good to use in terms of billing, signals and hidden charges (usually you get some extra charges in bills).

Go on Vodafone, buy an Android device. iPhone fan boys can weep about a phone that drops calls because they hold it funny, while you are smiling because your phone, SHOCK HORROR!!, can actually make phone calls.

iphone 4 is an awesome phone ..and there is no other phone can be compared with iphone. most of the brands and phone are having problems ...millions of units are being sold worldwide and in that you will find 1 or 2% of unhappy customers. thats obvious.

by the way ..tell me a phone/brand which is perfect ??? all of them are having minor or major issues .. and you wont find 100% satisfied customer for any brand.

close your eyes and go for iphone .. i have i4 and just loving it ..

I would like to add that the signal drop is in the iPhone 4 is about 20-25 db (decibel) when touching the antenna at the bottom.

If you are in an area with a signal of 51 db (lower number is better), and if you touch the iPhone 4 at the bottom left corner, your signal will drop to approx 71 db. You will not notice any signal bar change on the iPhone 4 even though the signal dropped by 20 db. This is because the value of the 5th bar on the iphone 4 has a range from 51 db to 76 db. The iPhone 4 will only drop to 4 bars when the signal goes over 76 db.

Read here for more info http://www.anandtech.com/show/3821/iphone-4-redux-analyzing-apples-ios-41-signal-fix

Also, you can check the signal level on the iPhone 4 using *3001#12345#* in the dialpad and hit call. Then look on the top left corner display.

it is expensive in Qatar then other countries, you can get it for USD 300 (QR 1100) in most parts of the world. and top of that there are very attractive and much cheaper iPhone data packages then Qatar.

i should wait till July 2011 for the new release, its not good to spend QR 3250 right now for the faulty device i4 as i am already having a old iPhone.

my cousin bought i4 2 weeks back in UK, i spoke to him also about signal problem. He confirmed also that even upgrading to 4.1 OS still there is reception problem if u are using it without case.

people are too crazy for i4, i am also too attracted to this phone. but real fact is that problem is there, and its not worth QR 3250

I am thinking to not buy i4 for following reasons:

It is expensive in my country around QR 3250.

Why should I spent this much for faulty device.

I don't like using any mobile case, I don't feel comfortable and never used case in my life, I feel it like hiding beauty under sand.

I am having already i2, although it is old but it has all the options I need. Emails, calls, browsing, iPod, mobile internet I need and they are working fine.

I have BB also, so it's better to wait for few more months when apple comes up with new and perfect design.

I have all the desktop in office, laptop at home and wifi availability. I never needed additional i4 options like GPRS and some others.

Overall I don't feel value of money i4 for the time being. Mostly becoz of I have to use case if I buy i4.

dude mozaic is the best service i have from Qtel n i have EPL also its QR35 the fact is alot of ppl are tired of mozaic coz they r far away from thier exchange mozaic is best if ur home is near exchange n now qtel is installing fiber in 3 year n every1 will go for mozaic as it will be HD then...i agree qtel's few services are crap n rubbish the only thing i believe is that thier network is world class n vodafone cant get close to qtel in next 2-3 years...vodafone prices r cheaper only..

Sorry mate Q-Tel are anything but world class, yes they are better than Vodafone but thats not hard as Vodafone are totally crap in Qatar..look at Q-Tels Mozaic service, the EPL reception at the moment is absolutely rubbish...

i think u should go with Qtel they are offering iPhone 4 32 GB only for 3350 and also replacing your sim is also free from Qtel. with Vodafone u also get sim free but thier price is slight high and u have to go for a face time and i think no one needs it now a days as thier network sucks. with Qtel u will get call rates high but network is world class also Qtel have better internet packs for postpaid if u use qtel internet packs u will get high internet speed upto 5-6mbps....Qtel is better. and sorry have no idea about iphone 4 problems

gud luck

i have heating problem in old iPhone also. specially when i play ipod in my car. but still i love iPhone.

Temperature in gulf is always very high, apple's recomended temperatures do not suit gulf area:

Environmental requirements

Operating temperature: 32° to 95° F

(0° to 35° C)

Nonoperating temperature: -4° to 113° F

(-20° to 45° C)

Relative humidity: 5% to 95% noncondensing

Maximum operating altitude: 10,000 feet (3000 m)
