IOS 6.1.3 problems with OOREDOO
Hello all,
I have an Iphone4, which worked perfectly fine recently. I realised from some time I could not use Internet firstly I though it was some setting issue. When I called OOREDOO HELP LINE they told me that the problem was with the we IOS. There is apparently some changes due to which no access point setting can e done. As per the staff I needed to revert to older version of IOS if I wanted to use the internet.
Has anyone faced similar issues and what have they done about it.
Thanks for sharing.
thanks kwon for giving a helpful tips. my iphone is working fine now using data sim. I went to ooredoo showroom to ask the setting and the staff said no chance to fix it as iphone was design for calling and I must to use hala or shahry only haha (what a great answer)
Hi Kwon, it works - I found your advice and link most useful.

Hidden at the bottom of an Ooredoo troubleshooting page is the APN profile needed for the newer iphone OS.

Below "Help at your fingertips", expand the iOS section and then click on "this file". You must be browsing using your iPhone, not your computer, as this will give you an APN profile ready for installation.
I spent many days finding this. I hope it works for others.
I have the same issue. I cannot find the APN settings on iPhone 4s with iOS 6.1.3 :(( tried calling ooredoo and the customer service advice to visit startlink.. mmm what a helpdesk!!!
Mine too Iphone 4 with IOS6.1.3, working fine with ooredoo...please check your APN settings.
see running on iOS 6.1.3 ordeoo with no issues, i think its on your phone
Checked just now on my Iphone 5 IOS 6.1.3, works fine. NO issues..
of course, they will not admit that the problem is on side, They will blame the unit OS, this is the first time I heard this issue, I'm a apple pro user, why don't you try it with Vodafone then if the issue remains problem is on your iPhone(either hardware of software), but if it is running well, the problem is on the carrier(Ordeoo), as of now no way to go back on any old iOS unless you save your blobs (this is a jailbreak procedure)
Am using iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1.3 but I do not face any issues. With most of the updates you have to make a minor change in the APN. Have you made that?
I have same phone but am still on 6.1.2. Thanks to you for sharing. I won't bother to upgrade OS
