I saw some Muslim rappers sing Islamic songs.. Yousuf Islam (formerly Kat Stevens) also went back to music and started to sing Islamic songs.

He is a rap artist, but since converting he can't sing what he used to sing. And he can't do what he used to do. It will take time, and he said it very clearly.
