Once they get married, the bride runs away with that money and the groom is left minus the money and still without the wife..

This will not stop till the people there accept girl child as equal to boy, this is a problem not just in villages but in the cities too.

I never believed it before.. but when i got to hear about it from a lot more people and the guys from UP Itself I believed it..

There was this Instance when this guy i was speaking to said he was from UP trying to sell Blankets.. I eventually got a little personal like asking him about his family and their kind of living and culture.. He started speaking and I asked him flat.. to which he answered its a common thing.. Not in URBAN places but RURAL yes..

take this for example.. he was never there for the whole of last year and his wife was carrying.. when i asked him how.. he gave me a stupid blush..

2-3 such incidents that i have heard.. Never got a women's input so far.. But its the fact. that RURAL uneducated or rather..some narrow minded people. In India we have a lot of Backward People and who dont want to get the practical way of life..
