Flying out for holidays in 2 days.....just realized my passport expires in January.

Hopefully I won't be knocked back at the airport or immigration because I have less than 6 months left to expiry.

Guess all I can do now is have a beer until the Malaysian and Indonesian offices open tomorrow :(

Flan, you came to my neck of the woods? Didn't know. But anyways, hope you had a good holiday!

just depends if get an immigration officer in a bad mood.

unsure how well the 6 months validity rule is applied, i'll be back here in 3 weeks anyway.

If your going back to ur home country, they will let u pass even if ur passpord has expired. So dont worry, Unless ur going to another country, then u have to have a valid passport of 3 or 6 months, depends on the country you are visiting.

You could always buy a mutant passport! I'll give you a good deal. Do you want your passport Ping, Fluorescent red, or just a plain white one?

Any how you still have 4months time..Oct, Nov, Dec, and what ever is there of Jan....thats more that enough

The renewal takes a week to 10 days time.

...is less than the duration of your passport renewal - Don't leave!

You will be in trouble aas reentry will be denied and your Doha employers might not like it!

No, they will let you exit, it's only the re-entry that's the problem. Are you going home or could you renew your passport where you are going?
