Well I dont think Syria has issues with canada, its more of an issue with the

US. But there's no harm in trying.

remember. qatarisun is canadian and both countries are not in good terms. Also it depends on the mood of the syrian immigration and the security/intelligence authorities

Princess Habibah,

Yes, I'm shi3a. I havent been to Iraq yet, But i wish to go there sometime. It will be like a dream come true. During the time of year when i was in Syria, there were 9 million visitors in Iraq visiting all the Holy shrines.

Qatarsun, Syria is a very beautiful country, I went to Halab from Damascus by bus and the seceneries that you get to see are amazing. I didnt want to come back :(

keep in mind that you have to decide one year ahead of time to be able to get visa on time.

Such an amazing country.......the people, customs,

culture, values, friendship, Arab hospitality, souqs, ruins, loud Arab music, roars of laughter, energetic people.....the loudness and liveliness is Arab culture at its best...I so miss it and hope to be back there soon.....:)

Thanks everyone except for bond 007, i could give u a very beautiful reply, but i dont want to cross my limits and i will ignore ur post.

Princess Habibah, I was in Damascus most of the time, but I went to Halab for a day aswell. It was more of a relegious journey. We have a shrines over there for Prophet Muhammad (saws)'s grand daughter and great grand daughter and other graves of some prophets like Prophet Habeel ( Adam's son ) and Prophet Yahya and Zakriya.

Abc150, i took a flight. Driving takes around 2 days and its tiring.
