I can't believe that being known as the kid from The Project would really give one a head start in society, but what do I know lol

Our equivalent would probably be Council Housing.

To be discussed over a Black Velvet :D

I'm really sorry, but I've no idea what these are. I can hazzard a guess that it's some kind of housing for people who are out of work? I didin't think US had a benefits thing like we have in UK do they? aka get money from the State to live on if you have none? Have to be 'means' tested or made to apply for jobs before getting any hand out?

I really don't know. I realise I seem ignorant, but I also thought a 'trailer park' (apart from the disparaging comments made about them) were just places where people lived in caravans ... cos either they want to or can't afford anything else.

Don't know why I'm typing all this - think I better shush, but I'll post it anyway just to see the response.

Is that like a Soup Kitchen (as in places run by the Salvation Army in the UK) for needy people? aka people with no funds to feed themselves?

I doubt that the people using these facilities ARE fat!

So who do you think is fat, Vegas! I think you thought this was a joke thread, right? ;o)

Perhaps its because food banks give meals in areas whose inhabitants are worried more about survival than looking good and exercising..
