I saw an actress yesterday
If somebody can tell me who was this small and old actress who likes to play strict madam characters in movies? She doesn't usually get leads in movies that's what I remember, but she has as much as many movies starred in. I think she's a British actress.
That time I saw her I was walking on the way to Ramada to appear a meeting and she was walking fast at front of The Coffee Cottage going the opposite way. I stopped a bit and take a look at her, although she ignored me like an ordinary guy on an ordinary day, she really was familiar. She's wearing a long-sleeved batik shirt and is holding some plastic like she bought something from a store besides Jarir.
I never had a chance to see a famous international actor/actress without a crowd and fans that blocked my way, nor even a schedule of visit brought along the news, but this one spared me a sight in person. If you're reading this, madam, I would wanna shake your hand and proud of your achievement.
Seems to me I don't need to go to Hollywood to see some actor/actress in person, eh?
Heero was she in Mamma Mia the Movie..

It's not Joan Playwright, nor Judi Dench nor Dame Edna. I'm trying to recall if she played another one of the witches in any Harry Potter movies. She also usually does comedy if I remember, but as a strict teacher and such.
She really is small...well according to my height. She's below shoulders, and it ain't Dame Judi and especially not Helen Mirren.
She has a bit of a husky voice if I remember also.

Heero, why didn't you get her autograph? Sure way to find out her name.
My tummy aches when I take meds...so I eat bananas (for fibers) and pepsi (carbonated)...maybe it will work for you but not sure :-(
mine is all air :( ... would banana and pepsi do the trick too? :))
good thing my housemate was going, asked him if he wanted to buy off my ticket..and he did...
My tummy's ok now...BANANAs and PEPSI did the trick ;-P
poor you.. i pity you.. huhu!
you should make a refund.
(as if that's possible)
probably heero's been spending his time
watching the restroom's ceiling too!
cheers,

I missed the concert coz my tummy won't cooperate today and would rather watch the ceiling of the bathroom...uughh :-(
Hmm, I dont know. I saw Minnie Driver in the Dixons in Heathrow and everyone left her alone. I think normal people give celebrities a bit more space these days because they feel the paps give them a hard enough time already.

but we were expecting a prize to guess who is the actress.
I do not find it not to find her surrounded by the crowd. The crowd was either busy looking for the Chinese dolls or trying to find a parking place.
That lady is lucky (unless she is the type who likes attention). Usually celebrities have the problem of missing the privilage to live like a normal person.
btw. you should have pulled her legs (not her hair) to join QLSG :)

Heero's gone missing since he posted this thread, probably hanging around Ramada hoping for a second spotting.
Plato, we are only kidding with him, dont worry he gives as much as he gets, hes got a good sense of humour.
Lets see, as Pm said Dame Judy Dench, there is Helen Mirren... and of course Dame Edna ;)

Did you manage to remember her name?
You probably mean Joan Plowright. She's appeared in numerous films and dozens of plays.
Errmmmm..........
platao....I would say that as someone who is somewhat older that I am educating him in a playful manner that what he has said some women can find extremely insulting, no matter his intentions. Honesty is like a present. you either give it raw with no wrappings thus no joy or wrap it in loving words which make the gift/truth that much nicer!

I admit, it happened to me too...that's why I was asking heero if he remembers any movie she (the actress) starred in :-)
Come on guys, don't make fun of him, probably he's not remembering but i guess it has happened to everybody not to remember someone's on a moment and later we remember the name.
