How long after drinking is it OK to drive?
For a while, I have been wondering, how long is enough. Is it Ok after you feel sober enough?
I think traces of alcohol remain in the blood even after we sober up....but is it allowed to drive then? Do the police in Qatar have any device to check whether the Driver is under the influence of alcohol or not?
And what is considered "driving under the influence of alcohol"?
Is it until the time "you can't think straight" passes
OR
Is it until there are traces of alcohol in your blood? Which BTW may stay for a couple of days!
Your advice will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Oh NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its more than what I am bargaining for.
here I am! :)
LOL @ Vampires.
I prefer a vampiress to suck my blood.
What else can they do? They can't really poke you with a needle to take blood! After all they are police and not vampire. But they may carry a breathalyzer!
A little bit of e-bashing is not detrimental to your health!
Does Qatar Police only conduct breath-analysis test for alcoholism ?
Thanks for the advice, Mandi

For me it will work out to 24 hours atleast then ;)

At LEAST an hour for each drink you've had. If three beers, over three hours from the last sip. And that's to let your blood alcohol level fall below a "legal limit." You need to keep in mind that the legal limit in Qatar is zero. If it's on your breath, you're busted.

Thanks, guys.....but I want to know how long after is it allowed to drive?

But how long should we wait after drinking.. 1 day, 2 day, 1 week...
And kris as for UAE, don't enter Sharjah even slightly drunk.. In Dubai it is fine but in Sharjah you are screwed if caught drunk.

the answer is not at all, coz driving under influence of alcohol is totally restricted and it is against the law regardless the volume of alcohol u take. also the police here or so called al fazaa they are very clever u don't know when they will going to stop nd question.
better stay at home if ur already under influence of alcohol.
but in UAE, its very different as long as u can drive and not doing anything ur free to drive.
