How hard is it to be positive?

Speedysid
By Speedysid

You wake up in the morning, stare at the ceiling and say 'I'm gonna have a wonderful day today!'

So why is it that, after saying this, most don't have one?

Reason's pretty simple- Conviction!

Dear QLers, as you all are heading towards this weekend, try to set your wonderfulness quotient by having SMART goals and objectives , SMART being;

S-Specific
M-Measurable
A-Achievable
R-Realistic
T-Time-bound

Once these steps are followed, you should be able to take control and do well.. This in turn will foster positivity within you.

You may not move mountains at first, but you sure as hell can go over them!

Cheers mates!

People who are a victim of "Self-Sympathy" can never be happy. Stop sympathizing with yourselves. Our complaining attitudes towards life are often a result of our own weaknesses. If life kicks you in the gut, then kick it back twice as hard.

People who learn to live through tough times, often end up happy in life and the ones who succumb to the circumstances, end up in misery and regrets.

here met the deadline?

What are the consequences of not meeting those deadlines?

Who is really upset when these deadlines aren't met?............. along list to go

My advice is; start thanking God now before it's too late.

are those who worked for the same company in different countries; where the only difference is the client.

I'm telling you that what we have here is a joke compared to the IMPOSSIBLE deadlines required in other countries; you might take Dubai 5 years back as the closest example.

TFS.

It's not hard to be positive, except on some days when it just doesn't work, no matter how hard you try. That's when 'going with the flow' helps. Just pretend you're a log flowing in the stream, let the water take you where it will.

'Coz what you resist, persists. So if you resist negativity it will come back more forcefully. Just make sure the stream doesn't take you to the ocean of darkness :P It is a struggle nevertheless.

LLR that reminds me about my driving lessons all those years ago. My driving instructor used to tell me treat a car like a women, Gentle. because if you are rough with either of them the will get out of control.:)

A: How hard is it to be positive?

Ans: depends on how engulfed you're in negativity.

IMO, it's pretty simple; to start, get rid of greed, envy....

[BTW, Ask any racer and he'll tell you that the car is a person, not 'just' a machine ;) ]

In my opinion the real SMART-ness starts with negative thoughts I mean first you have to think negative (Worst Conditions) and you have to measure the risk and then should generate the energy to be face it. So my approach is always a quick negative to positive.

Some of us who are whining about our jobs, not all of us did double the work and were paid half the salary.

Some of us we studying hard in London and alhamdullilah deserve more.

So plz don't generalize.

Things doesn't work practically coz it is we who don't put it into practice... A car won't accelerate unless you put your foot on the pedal!

All who are whinning now about their jobs, colleagues, bosses, salary, working conditions.........etc. would rather remember a couple of years back when they needed to work double the time, 10 times the effort and 100 times the problems to handle for less than quarter the current earnings; then you can decide to continue moaning or start thanking God.

I never wake up saying 'I will have a wonderful day ahead'. When you work and u have to deal with some arrogant and stupid characters who think they are God's gift to the human kind then its lil hard to stay happy. Anywaz I try to be cheerful when I get back home to my dearies.

try this remedy... I've been doing it since the pass 10 years, and it's been proven.

Everyday when you wake up, tell your self.."It is a good day today". Before you go into your vehicle, say it again, and when you arrived at office say it again.

You can actually see, no matter how bad the day went by, it won't affect you as badly as before.

There might be negative forces around you now, but just pause for a moment, stand where you are, Think abt that negative thought and just shout out "RIDICULOUS!!!""(or if in office, say that in a high pitch voice)
