ask..

ALL bar soaps dry out the skin, its the nature of the product and how its made...look for body and face washes that have a lot of hydrating ingredients such as jojoba, coconut oil, etc...Especially here in desert region, put your moisturizer on directly after bathing because it will help seal in the water. I tend to use light oils such as macadamia and sweet almond oil which are more readily absorbed. Just watch walking on tiled floors afterwards or you'll look like an ice skater!!!

I was kinda worriedcoz i do like to take warm baths coz it opens up up the skin pores...and washing/rinsing with cold/tepid water afterwards.

Bath soap do dries the skin...that I agree

FDM..whoever told you that is wrong, hon...it has to do with your body holding toxins in between the fat cells and due to sluggish circulation system. No amount of hot water is going to cause or cure that...

Now, that being said..hot water is horrible for your skin and your hair. Skin, it can cause broken capillaries and dry it out because it helps strip the protective layer of oil that your skin needs (same reason you should NEVER wash with bar soap!!!). Hair should be washed with tepid water and rinsed with cold (ok so that's a bit of a challenge here) because it helps close the cuticle on the shaft of the hair.

DaRuDe, where and how? is it the same principle of the water heater?

Eng Chong, King Edshel, Thanks a lot, I switched it off and I'll let you know tomorrow ;-)

junarc2003, the hot water is bad for the hair, the skin and can cause cellulite

don't switch on your Water Heater. USe the water which is supposed to be hot and you will find it cold. Use the water that is supposed to be cold and you will find it hot. Guess that you are just like me still using the old water tanks. The black tanks are isolating the heat, but the metal pipes does not :D

Good Luck ...
