Horse Festival - Timings ?

Stork
By Stork

Hi all,

I received an SMS about H.H. the Emir's Horse Festival.

Does anybody know the timings of the events?

This vital information was obviously not included in the SMS.

Nor is it on the Equestrian Centre's website!

My 5 year old daughter loves horse and I would like to take her today.

But maybe not at 10pm.

Any info gratefully received.

I actually went up there this morning but the place was deserted. I did find one guy who didn't know what I was talking about!

I'll head up there for the opening ceremony later.

I called again and got thru (my lucky day!!)

They said no tickets are required and that the event is free and open to the public.

See updated schedule in above post.

Cheers Smitty.  Don't you love how people send out these SMS's but don't put timings or contact numbers.

The event is free.

I didn't ask about tickets, and he didn't say they were required.  We were planning to just show up.

Harsha - These things are usually free. Weekly horse races are free and the last horse show was free...

Thank you.

I was thinking of going to because I am sure it is worthwhile, perhaps on the day through the radio or something we will get news.

If I dont' get any information or if they don't answer their phones, you can expect this thread to turn into a lot of cursing and yelling.

In true Qatar style, they are not answering their phones, responding to emails or anything.  I'm trying to find out some info and will get it up on qatarhappening.com as soon as I can.
