Histomap

Yeah, yeah. Not the most accurate. Kind of a cool interpretation, though. Wish I knew how the width of each empire was calculated for the sake of the image. To see it in more detail, right click and go to 'View Image'.
ROFL BB :)) so cheesyy. :)
and... butter the other side of the bread... ;-)
Khanan Pathans love to drink karak... lol
what Pathans love to d...enlight me pleae??? lol....
Alexander almost certainly indulged in homosexual activity, it was not taboo in Greek society during that period and was in fact how most men have their first sexual experience. (Kinda like the Middle East now)
I read this on Twitter the other day:
"Egypt is one of those rare countries where the "good old days" were in 2,000 B.C."
Yeah...Rip Cord that is usually what is said... but its obviously not true... he would not have reached Egypt on horseback if he was infected with malaria...lol
well LLR ... Greek is a slang for... what Pathans love to do...so maybe... maybe not...lol
The map just goes to show the greatest period for the Egytians was thousands of years ago, ever since then they have gone down hill...
Oh I c.. another question do you think he was a gay?
No I think he died somewhere in Egypt... possibly poisoned. I think he was planning to stay in Egypt...
Alexander the Great never made it home to Macedonia, he died at 33 of disease. A good lesson to us all, if you go to India you could end up dead from a nasty virus or disease!
I think Alexander died in India. I am not sure..
Chanakya himself was planing to overthrow the Nanda Dynasty due to some personal insult and was creating a gurilla military. He did not want to deal with Alexander on one side and Nanda Dynasty on the other.
Alexander's men who were about 6,000 finally refuse to go ahead and fight an army that was 200,000. They had already defeated a 20,000 strong army of Porus and it was a tough one. Alexander is said to have lost his horse (Bucephalus) in the battle, now lay burried in Peshawar, Pakistan. Alexander is said to have charged Porus on his horse and Porus knocked him down... possibly unconscious... for he was carried away by his bodyguard.
Indian Chapter:
The Gupta Dynasty were the biggest rulers of India...
The territory covered was Parts of Afghansithan, Parts of Iran, (of course Pakistan & Bangladesh).
Gupta Dynasty (ruled by King Chandragupta) was created by the Great Indian Politician Chanakya. Later expanded by Chandragupta's grandson Asoka.
Chanakya even stopped Alexander from crossing the Ganges and fighting the Nanda Dynasty by "dropping leaflets" in the Alexander camp about the huge army of 200,000 that was waiting for them across the river.
^Interesting observation
Indians and Chinese are the only two empires present continuously from the top to the bottom of that map. Everyone else has kinda come and gone.... Interesting indeed!
Very interesting interpretation. I see the Arabs fall off the map after 1000 AD.....
Oh I C. My interest is to read about all cultures and civilizations. In today's modern world the real of any culture has been just vanished, as hollywood, bollywood and some other factors have taken over. Like as a non-arab if you travel to arab countries you really dont get all of it these days. I started collecting some items but the image you shared gave me a proper road map.
Yeah, I'd like to figure out what went into calculating the thickness of each empire's world influence (which is what I am assuming this is showing). Otherwise interesting, though.
:) thank you. Roman belly look much bigger than any other group. :)
THose who cant view can click this link and then zoom it
Ryan hope this will help. :)
It's a Ramadan miracle, LLR. ;)
OMG what a coincidence.. I was searching for something relevant. Thanks a million. :) You made it easy for me.
Mods, could you edit the image to 600 width? Would be easier for everyone to see.
Wish I could edit that post. I could make the image a little thicker.
