High Speed Tailing gating
The motorists at large are reeling under the death risk of high speed tailgating on almost all the major roads in Qatar. Almost all of the tailgaters run on from behind with flashing lights and touching their bumpers with the car ahead, that is an un checked offense at a speed more than the limit on any road.
They are a major threat to them and other road users. A few mobile police with mobile radar can end this deadly practice by snap checking and keeping such motorists off the road with spot fines.
It is also important for the slow moving motorists to keep in the middle or slow lane.
Offenses of Tailgaters
1. Speed more than the limit
2. Not keeping the legal distance
3. Harassment
4. Forcing others to make accident by confusing them.

The biggest nuisance are NEPALI drivers.....in URVAN. They think it is NEPAL and just drive carelessly!!
Slow, moderate, fast,,
But over speeding specially in the middle of crowded hour that looks like they own the road is bully in the road already.
There is FEW that tailgating you but not in the act of harassing you with there lights and bumper.
Locals and expat is coming likely the same now a days specially if they have high end cars.
They never bump, they just make you hump into another lane.. I hate drivers who drive slowly or make me drive slowly in the first lane.. especially when you allow to them to merge in your lane.
In such a case.........you too start slowing down...!!
Remember.....if a vehicle bumps in you from the rear....it's considered to be HIS mistake!! So let the hero come and bump into you.....!! That is what I do....!! No matter who the guy is......I keep my Chevy Cruze right in that lane......or move out to let the bugger pass.....when I wish to!
You see.....all that you require is BALLS.....to teach the chap a lesson of tailgating!!
If someone wants to drive fast, you have to allow them.
If I know iam still in the speed limit, I don't change my lane at all even thou they keep flashing light. I let them take the risk on changing lane.

Not my experience. In fact, its really frustrating when people just sleep in high speed lanes. Speed lanes are "speed lanes" and are not for normal driving speeds! They are meant to be used for overtaking and not for continuous driving.
Most of the drivers has adopted of this kind of behaviour in the road, I have observe that only few ones have a courtesy and consideration to our fellow drivers, My only advice that don't push your right of way on the road because most of the drivers dont know the right of way, better to be defensive.
Never let them bother me. As soon as they get close, I just open up the Nitrous and my Pink Kia leaves them trailing ..
of them are burdened with worries of high family expenses / husband-wife relations / inlaws visit visas / plus the difficulty of repaying the bank loans ....
mostly lazy or new drivers who are the cause of this behave - slow driving & not moving to the right lane after overtaking ..
happened to me a lot of times...
and don't have a choice but to change lane even I am on the speed limit myself. otherwise he will bump my behind...
