Has boxing lost its glamour ?
Gone are the days of Ali, Frazier and Foreman..
Now they are having to depend on has beens to prop up the sport.. How sad!
DON KING is ready to offer Lennox Lewis £25million to come out of retirement and face comeback king Vitali Klitschko.
The giant Ukrainian regained the WBC heavyweight title by forcing Nigerian Samuel Peter to quit after eight rounds of their Berlin battle on Saturday.
Londoner Lewis, 43, has not fought since beating 6ft 8in Klitschko on cuts in June 2003.
Veteran American promoter King — who will approach Lewis with an offer this week — said: “What a triumph that would be for us old guys.”
Klitschko, 37, had not boxed since beating Brit Danny Williams in December 2004. But he ruled out a fight against younger brother Wladimir who holds the IBF and WBO titles.
Vitali said: “It was my dream to be world champion at the same time as Wladimir and I have done it, but we will never fight.
“I don’t feel any different to four years ago. I still have the skills and if I’m healthy I can still use them.”
so whaaaaaaaaat?she looks drop-dead gorgeous and that's all that matters at the end of the day :-)

Ei, maybe the sparks is out for Heavy weight Division, but in lower divisions, hell!!! can't wait for dela hoya & pacquiao's bout.
In HW Division, after Tyson's fame I've got no idea on what's in there.

Have you seen the amount of makeup she uses?? Probably as much as Oprah //
There is a fine line between dressing trashy and looking tacky..
Only a few, including Alexa could carry it off..:0)
if dressing trashy means looking like Christina Aguilera,i don't care a dime about looking trashy!i'd do anything to look like that doll!oooooh!

Wants to answer, but bites his lip!
"I like my women just a little on the trashy side, when they wear their clothes too tight and their hair is dyed."
Very catchy country music song by Confederate Railroad.

You forgot to mention that usually they dressed trashily.
the idea of them 'Molls' ain't all that revolting,eh gurlz?sounds kinda stylish and 'svelte' to me ;-)
Keep smiling!
Saggi!
They were kept in style by the gangsters and fawned upon..
What more can you ask for?
Alexa, I believe that a "moll" is (was) a gangster's girlfriend, a waaaaay long time ago. And I mean a gangster, not a gangsta.
Mandi
those guys ought be sitting pretty at home and playing with their kids!what the heck are they doing in a boxing ring?????
Keep smiling!
Saggi!
The word "Mol" comes to mind..
OK.. perhaps I shouldn't have used the word glamour, but bringing 43 year olds back to revive the sport.. Would people actually pay ?

then i feel sorry for these women even more.. :(
the way of earning is not only painful but also insulting.. :(
Some men find it exciting to see two females in shorts and tops, with perspiration slugging it out..
Let me clarify that i am not one of them..
Leila Ali and Carmen Dominguez?? are they boxers??
well... feel sorry for them.. what a painful way of earning their bread.. :)
Oh youngster! You don't recall the heady days of Ali, Frazier , Sugar Ray Leanord, Oscar De le Hoya, whom teh ladies used to swoon over..
Theer are ofcourse ladies who box nowadays.. i'm not a fan, but Leila Ali and Carmen Dominguez come to mind.
I do believe that boxing used to be a sport, but now its down on the doldrums...
hmmm reminds me of Rocky movies! Rocky Balboa where he comes out of retirement only to get his ass whooped, but then again i feel they do it all for publicity. no one fights for the love of the sport anymore :(
Good Fortune always comes knocking at your door...when you are sh*tting in the toilet!! :)

I don't support Boxing as a sport, but boxing as an exercise (hitting the sack) I am totally supporting it

ops deedee, i read your post after i have posted mine one... we seem to have the same opinion on this matter :)
OMG! do words boxing and glamour ever come together??
LOL I just thought it was 2 big sweaty guys trying to beat the crap out of each other. I have always failed to see any entertainment value in that. It's just my opinion.
