A happy, healthy smile can be the difference between getting a job and not getting it. Studies suggest that a smile is a major factor in the overall first impression a person makes on the interview. Most people would agree that a smile is an important social asset. There is much truth to the expression "million-dollar smile".
People who go to the dentist and make over their smile have shown that their income has gone up by as much as 27%. A bright, genuine smile exudes confidence, strength and a willingness to open up to others. On the other hand, if you are self-conscious about your smile, it might affect the way you communicate with others and could be detrimental to your job performance.
The truth is few people are born with perfect smiles. Those fabulous smiles you see on television and in magazines are the result of cosmetic dentistry.
Of course, you don't have to be rich and famous to have your own million-dollar smile. There are many options, from smile whitening toothpastes, and laser repairing, to invisible braces, and replacment teeth.

i wanna smile and be happy all the time but some people wants to keep the distance.. maybe they are afraid of something.. so i cant smile a lot but i like to smile with people who likes it.

are often told to have a mirror in front of them to see their own facial expression whilst talking with a customer. I guess if you can see yourself you prefer to look nice and smiling and that is transmitted down the phone line.
On the question of whether flashing a set of white gnashers is the key to being the winning candidate at an interview. I can honestly say I have never failed an interview in my life (I've had many different jobs and always the same teeth!). Was it because I smiled? Well I'm sure I did, but I'm equally sure I wouldn't have got the jobs on that basis alone - it must have had more to do with other attributes ;o)
Oh! And I've even been accepted by American Corporations too, despite not having unnaturally whiter than white bright teeth :D

I’d like to think that I have a good smile, and I have been told that I smile a lot. Anyways, I’d like to suggest that people smile more often. Why, might you ask? Simply because a smile can do a lot of things for you and for others. Other than working out your facial muscles, here are a few things a smile can do:
1) A good smile makes you more attractive! Well, kinda… As long as you have good teeth behind that smile, then you’re good to go. Otherwise, you might want to work on the closed mouth smile. If you have a good smile, then I’d say you’re already ahead of the curve.
2) A good smile will brighten the days of others! How many times have you had a bad day, but then seen a friend who was smiling. For a few moments you’ll most likely forget about your troubles and smile back at your friend. Smiles are contagious! So spread some smiles!
3) A good smile exudes confidence! A weak smile only shows insecurity. Who doesn’t want to appear confident? If you’re meeting people for the first time, you want to give a good first impression, one that says you’re confident, not one that says you’re scared. This comes in extra handy at those interviews!
4) A good smile can help to lighten the mood. If everyone’s talking in straight faces, and one person’s smiling while they talk, the tone of the conversation will definitely lighten up, or “cheer up”. While there’s nothing wrong with serious conversations, it’s always good to lighten up once in awhile.
5) Smiling leads to laughing. Everyone should have a good laugh everyday. It’s not only fun, but I think it’s supposed to be healthy to have a good laugh. So not only are you having fun, but you’re helping everyone’s health out by leading them to laughter!
6) A good smile can let others know that they’re with a friend. If you’re smiling at other people, then they can come to you without reservation or worry because they can see that you’re smiling at them. Just make sure you’re smiling at that person and not the wall, so that they do know you’re a friend.

I used to smile and laugh a lot as a kid...as I grew up I started smelling the potential dangers of a girl's smile. Then after coming to Qatar like 9 yrs before... I stopped smiling..lol I realized its kinda giving wrong signal.. So its better to be called a snob than a....
So my smiles are limited these days...
