Hi - i'm new to Qatar and in two days my hair is fried! anyone recommend the best shampoo for an indian girl in this heat???

just seen it on style network. Comb in, leave 10, shampoo out - just dont use garlic mayo.

I use conditioner/honey/small amount olive oil - shake up, apply, leave, shampoo out. Unfortunately cannot be bothered to do this enough and my hair is still like wire wool. Pantene extremely bad for your hair as it contains silicone but I use it all the time because it works and is quick fix.

vkash, i am not any SHEHNAZ HUSSAIN...lol...but would give u some tips as well as per ur query...

1.Apply some honey to the skin to heal and moisturize the skin and promote dead kin tissues re-growth. Mix some honey in cold milk (preferably cow or goat milk) and apply on face, hands and feet.

2.Soak a cloth in cold milk and apply it on your skin for 5-7 minutes. The anti-inflammatory properties of milk will stop itching.

3.You can make a lotion at home by mixing some pulp of apricot, cucumber, banana, mango, avocado or grape or green tea leaf or honey to cold cow or goat milk. This remedy works well for the whole body.

4.Olive oil softens the skin and reduces itching. Apply it on the affected area including scalp. Olive oil in your salad dressing will also get rid of dry skin.

5.Cabbage pack is very effective for dry skin. make a cabbage pack by mixing some cabbage juice with 8-10 drops of honey and a small amount of yeast. Apply this pack on your neck and face. Wash with warm water after half an hour and rinse with cold water

asif, will u use the FACE MASK that the women normally do??? Ok, here it goes :

1.An avocado mask is perfect for dry skin that may become very irritated in the winter.

It is easy to make: mash the flesh of avocado with a fork, add a touch of extra-virgin olive oil, and apply this smooth, fragrant mixture onto your face.

This nourishing mask will supply your skin with a whole range of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and softening agents to fight winter dryness.

2. Cultured Milk Mask

A cultured milk mask is a simple and effective cure for tired skin.

Just apply a bit of natural yogurt, buttermilk, sour cream, or kefir on your face avoiding areas around the eyes. Relax for 10-15 minutes and rinse your face with cool water.

This mask softens, rejuvenates, and restores a natural pH balance of your skin, thus, protecting it from negative influences of winter air.

What FS has said is absolutely correct..No hairs are of same type..U shld first find out the texture of ur hair..whether its oily, normal, dry or mix..There r many shampoos avialable in the market depending on ur hair type..Just use that..Go for the shampoos that have conditioner in it or buy it separately..Try to avoid hot water to wash ur hair which is quite impossible if u r staying in middle east..Applying oil 2-3hrs before shampooing helps in nourishment of ur hair..

Don't pour hot water from shower head straight on to your scalp. Shampoo during evening shower if possible. Avoid Sun as much as you can.

My Shampoo may not suit your hair type, so better go for something which suits your type. Always use oil before shampooing and use a leave-in conditioner..it will protect the hair from harsh sunlight and gives it a healthy look. and try to avoid direct sunlight..
