I have been to several so these so-called Chinese restaurants, since quality is poor throughout the best of the bunch would have to be in city center. Opposite Ramada is ok at a push, Villagio-no, Tai Chi-no (not authentic chinese) ,Oasis - no, Chopsticks-no,no,no!!

I am sure that if you have lived in China or the far east you will surely agree that if any of these restaurants were open over there they would not be for long.

Mriam-mar tied that one too, but it's not as good as the thaichi ( thailand and chinese )

The setting at the Ramada is very nice but the food is awful. A friend even got sick -amoeba from this restaurant, so would not recommend.

There is good one in City Center...Shanghai Chinese Restaurant.

You have 2 option for buffet or by order.

If you're single..go for buffet...family...go for by order

The good Chinese Rest. is the one in Villagio Mall, not Taichi, it is located at the other end of food court. Walkpass all the food stalls until the end and at the left side you can see the chinese rest. decorated with chinese motif and the eatery is up the hall across.

The Lebanese restaurant on the top floor of the Alfardan Center is wet. You can get some nice wine and some good food. Its expensive though.

Also, there is a Chinese restaurant and a Japanese restaurant at The Ramada both serve alcohol.

The beatings will continue until morale improves.

In fact, I don't know of any restaurant in Doha, outside one of the hotels, that is wet? Thrilled to be corrected on that one.

The Korean Garden on C Ring is ok (but dry, and they serve chinese and Japanese as well), the Hard Wok (or whatever it's called) in Villagio not too bad (but dry). Great Wall (next to The Centre as mentioned above) is dry too.

HOWEVER!!! The new Ramada has a rather good chinese downstairs, and you can get the all important beer to wash it down.

If there is another, please let me know - chinese food is something we are missing terribly, esp. yum cha.

Good luck,
