ScienceDaily (Oct. 14, 2010) — Astronomers using the South Pole Telescope report that they have discovered the most massive galaxy cluster yet seen at a distance of 7 billion light-years. The cluster (designated SPT-CL J0546-5345) weighs in at around 800 trillion Suns, and holds hundreds of galaxies.
Ok...let them come..Our expert scientists are capable enough to handle them...:)
Brit, I feel its just wasting a LOT of money. Useless discoveries IMHO.
I doubt it, but it will keep a few scientists in jobs :O)
Actually, it's all theoretical at present, but it may help us understand space better and may help in future space travel ....
Will this be of any significance to humankind?
Is dark energy related to the cosmological constant ? I doubt whetehr we'll find out in our lifetime .
