GCC driving license exchange to Qatar DL

Hi guys,

Few days back I went to Traffic department in Mamoora to get Qatar driving license( to exchange with UAE driving license) It was unbelievable experience and my sincere thanks and appreciation to the traffic department staff and system. It all took 5-10 min minutes to exchange my license and get Qatar driving license. It was so simple and fast. Traffic department staff was so helpful and very kind to guide me on required procedure. Even payment was not an issue even though I was not having credit card. There is a QNB counter to provide you a card just for QR 20/- extra payment.  No form typing except to fill the details by hand in the application form before eye test.

In general one should take the following documents while visiting traffic department:

1.       Original valid license of GCC (UAE / Oman etc.)

2.       Take 2-3 passport photos.

3.       Copy of the GCC driving license.

4.       Copy of Passport and labor card.

5.       Carry a letter from company / sponsor.

6.       Take company / sponsor computer number.

7.       QR 250/- fee plus QR 20 bank charge to get the card for fee payment.

All will be done in 5-10 min time if you go there at 7 am.
