Provide her with a life jacket atleast

when the maid does not know how to swim, how can she jump in the water ? 

The best way to help is that in almost every swimming pool one can see red color rubber tubes with ling rope hanging on the walls ... those tubes are for emergency purpose ! if someone does know how to swim can at least he can throw the tube towards that person in the water so that he can take support or hold the tube and he can be pulled out easily....

Awarness is very important ... !

One should be careful with their children! It seems that one cannot trust the maids to take care of the kids properly?

Alexa she was just sitting at the side and doing nothing? She could have at least tried to jump in to save the kid! I mean gosh! How uncaring for another human life!

One should train the maid how to swim? incase if the children goes to swimming pools on frequent basis ... specially compounds !

Seems like there was no "Guard" on the pool !!! i thought every compound which has Swimming pool, keeps a Swimming Guard  ?

Family matters...really no one care of his own life espacially when some of the family member in trouble...

Sad story, it just takes a second for a child to get into some sort of trouble and this is a good reminder to keep eyes on them all the time.

Alexa good point about the maids, i think people place too much responsibility on the maids. As an over protective mother, i never take my two toddlers to the beach or swimming pool unless im accompanied by my husband, as one toddler will easily distract you leaving the other one unsupervised. Many babies and toddlers have drowned in very shallow water, even bathtubs 

heads up to all parents...dont be too slack thinking that the water is too shallow for the kids. anything can happen...

Realsom I hope Allah has mercy on his soul, but this guy probably doesn't deserve much. 

First he risked his childrens lives by ignoring them while they play in the sea, and now they will grow up without a father and their mother without a husband. 

This guy doesn't deserve a place in paradise.

OMG

I have noticed here that on the open beach many of the families do not care about their children and leave them play in the sea water alone or with other group of children which is very risky .... even most of the young childern were not wearing life jackets ...

Yes that was his mistake that he got busy reading instead of keeping eyes on his young children ....

But what life children will have without a father ?
